Bert03241 Report post Posted February 25, 2022 (edited) I'm making a stool cover for a tripod I want to make a pocket for the legs to fit into. I want to cut the pockets a little bigger so the legs will slide in easily. I'm not sure how much bigger to make them so that when I sew them to the cover they look right. Would I make them bigger on all side? or just 2 sides and leave the top the same. Edited February 26, 2022 by Northmount Added to title

Northmount Report post Posted February 26, 2022 6 minutes ago, Bert03241 said: thanks but they don't help with what I want to do If you look closely at the photos, you can see that one set is made flat, pockets not enlarged. The other set has added material to form a pocket that stands proud of the seat leather. So it looks like you can add some material, and if it's not enough, it will stretch to fit. You can use some scrap and build a corner to test it. You can also wet form the pocket to fit the way you want. One reason for going with a flat pocket is it will roll up in a neater bundle for transport and storage.
