Hi All I decided to make a commitment to embark on the journey to higher ground and horse tack; including high quality show bridels of which my first project will tackle. Any advise out there? I'm not one to take many short cuts and I would benifit greatly from suggestions that take me closer to my goal which says I will listen closely. Honest....I will! My Buisness Plan 1. Planning on custom makes and short runs only at this time 2. Am working with an experienced show horse owner who is networked in my local area. 3. I've purchased an assortment of tack for a better understanding of the industry's general construction methodology. …

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone had any insights on these machines. I’m thinking about buying this particular one. Is it a worthwhile investment? Are they user friendly and productive? Would this be more of a collectible at this point? I’m looking to speed up edge creasing straps.

I'm going over a pair of United Carr M245 motorized snap setting machines. Doing the usual, cleaning, adjusting, etc and thought to replace the drive belts. My usual cheat method is to just remove a flat belt when I come to one and replace it with a heavy cogged v belt and changing the pulley on the motor to a V type while leaving the larger driven one flat. This time around I may have hit a bump in the road. Best I can tell, the driven pulley doesn't have any way around it for a standard belt. I can't really get a good look in there, but best I can tell I'd have to disassemble the machines to get a v belt in? Anyone replace a belt in a M245 type be…

My plan was to buy a new Fratelli Alberti skiving machine, but unless you live in US it's not possible to order it with this specification anymore. A machine without suction device is not available with two motors for some reason. And trying to buy only a head (AV2T) and two motors and belts also seems impossible. (I don't need the table) So I give up trying to buy a new machine. I will look for a used FAV AV2 and add a second motor. Any tips where I find a motor in Europe. A quality motor, absolutely not some Chinese brand motor.

I pulled an Ace Hot Cutter model HC720wp out to clean up and use for a project. I've never used it before and spent a couple hours cleaning, oiling, adjusting, replacing belts and adjusting the reeves drive. Everything is A-ok mechanically, although it wont start by the on and off buttons....Works fine if I plug the under the machine plug into an extension cord though. Stopped working on it for the evening, had enough for today, lol. I am curious if anyone has a manual for this machine w/electronic schematics or a photo/two to share? I don't need a manual to figure out the issue, but there is one small thing missing on the front of the box. I don't kn…
