messengerbag feathers



The dark areas are from the leather still being wet.

It's still missing the carrying strap and I'm wondering if I should ad some more detail to the feathers which I didn't want to in first place.

I would say yes more detail, mainly because where it's still wet the contrast looks better presuming the top of the picture is the wet part. I'm not a fan of painted leather but a little highlighter after the hair tool on the feathers for a little contrast would be nice. IMHO If you don't mind I'd like to see the back and inside, I really like it. Troy

Hi Thor. I'd go with the black/brown/white on the feathers only. I think they'll really pop against the natural. BTW beautiful bag.

Thanks folks. I'm not very good at painting and would hate to ruin it. So I guess I will get myself a hairline tool and add some more detail. Troy I was stuck and needed some input. As always it's just a prototype and a training piece on the way to becoming a saddle maker. I will post some pictures when it's completed. Still haven't decided what the carrying strap should look like...
