i just read this and wanted to add something, as i was looking into copyright laws in my area... if you change 10% of a piece of art/idea what not it becomes a brand new piece of work, and does not fall under any copyright infringement..

Greetings , Newbie ( sort of) question about Bracers

i have done many bracers and here is an easy way to do it, what you get is very thin leather and a piece of rope, you place the rope in the middle of the leather (allowing for there to be extra) and sew ithe rope into the leather, then using the "extra" part of the leatehr you sew that onto the bracer/vanbracer/greave or what not... i myself do not like to use it, however its what the customer wants hope that helps mike -
what type of breast plate are you looking to do????, the duct tape is the way to go, however since it is a surprise if you can find someone approx size of hubby go that way also If you have any questions feel free to pm me, i have done armor before...and will be willing to help where i can Mike

very good start on the pauldrons, just an observation you might want to use chicago screws as opposed to rivets, it makes the pieces a bit more flexable.

am new here just been in the shadows the past week or so, reading and garnering more knowledge, im active in the ren faire in my area, and everything to the liking of that genre. been doing leather for a year off and on, i do it more for relaxation, as opposed to anything else im always looking for new projects to try ... live in Illinois (chicagoland area), and would love to meet those that share the intrest of this art
