  1. The motor was new on the machine when I got it. Might have 20 hours on it.
  2. Thanks for the ideas. I considered a VFD for some 3 phase machine shop items I have. Built rotary converters for 2, one came with a static converter box. I was always scared of VFDs because so many have problems with them. The clutch is not smooth at all - grabs all at once. It takes off fast, then slows.
  3. It has the smallest motor pulley as well.
  4. Hello, I have a Consew 225 with a clutch motor. Too fast for my use for leather. Built a belt and pulley speed reducer, approximately 3 to 1 ratio. Helps but not where I need to be. Lengthened the arm on the clutch motor linkage and getting close. I wondered about an electric speed reducer like you use to plug a router or other power tools into. Anybody ever tried one of these? I built a speed control with a light dimmer switch yesterday. Worked a while but at some point the motor kicked out and I was able to get it going again. Did not expect this to work but wanted to try. Not enough power (600 watts maybe). Would try a router speed control if it would be safer for the motor. I know about servo motors, but really don't need to spend that much right now as I pretty much give all my work away. Thanks.

  6. Sorry. It is a 3 1/2 to 4 inch blade. Needs to choke up on the handle about 1/2 I suppose.
  7. Anybody got a pattern for a paddle style sheath for a 5 inch hunting knife?
  8. I made several a while back both ways. People thought they were cool, gave a few away, nobody bought any. I still enjoy making them, especially for lever guns.
  9. Mount them on a little trailer with a bench seat?
  10. https://leatherworker.net/forum/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=131472 There it all is.
  11. Not sure why all the pages of this won’t link. I copied and pasted a link from a leatherwork.net page. I have the hole pattern printed out if it’s lost. My net skills are slipping.
  12. Vehicles with both metric and SAE fasteners, plus Torx, plus Phillips screws. Have to drag the whole shop under the car to test sizes. As for the T shirt, they usually have the seams closer together in the back of the neck than the front. Thats the only way I can tell without putting it on wrong.
  13. Spring is back in Tennessee and we are ready.
  14. I figured it would make your lever rust. Here is one that would be easy. Just a strip the length of the lever with holes punched and braided on. Big loop lever, standard lever, pistol vs straight grip would vary in length. https://www.amazon.com/Handcrafted-Leather-Lever-Wrap-Action/dp/B0BWTMX59S/ref=asc_df_B0BWTMX59S&mcid=01ae33d3797c3e7b86ffc385894f0f80?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=79920941687458&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583520405611133&psc=1
