  1. Big Papa, your work is always top notch in my eyes, but I am just a beginner. As for the dirty devil wallet, right up my alley, I dig it.
  2. That is a nice clean wallet, I really like it. I have just finished my first and did tooling on both sides, but now that I see yours wow.
  3. I just finished my very first tooled, braided and dyed project, a bill fold wallet. I have had in my pocket for about a two weeks now and it seems a little dry. What are some recommendations for treating/conditioning my projects. I use a bees wax from the boot store on my boots and shoes, I am worried about it ruining my one good pair of jeans I have left. Any suggestions or recommendations. If you need more specifics let me know. Thanks Steve
  4. Very cool seat. How do you figure out how much lace you are going to need?
  5. Just a beginner question, but did you paint the skull or is that a dye. I having been working on a wallet and mine has a skull as well and I have been holding off just dying it a solid color and now I have seen yours, awsome by the way, flash art is the style I am into. Any hints or help would be great. Thank you, Steve
  6. Sorry I didn't explain it better. It is a bill fold, no it is not a kit, the leather is a 3-5oz leather veg tanned I think it was some scrap I had laying around. I will try and post some pics latrer today. Thanks you both for the help I really appriciate it.
  7. I am trying to finish a wallet that I started awhile back and need some help. I am trying to figure out how to put the guts in, I am using the same thickness leather as the cover cause thats all I have or should I buy some thinner stuff. My questionis does the inner piece need to be the same width as the cover or should it be cut smaller. I am hand stiching if that helps any. Thank you, steve
  8. Nearly impossible for words to describe those. But just truly awsome I think will work.
  9. I am a beginner in the leather world and want to try my hand at tooling. I don't know where to start. I want to get a swivel knife but don't know what length or tube size to get, I have pretty good sized hands. What other tools (kits) should I get to get me started in the right direction. I have read some of the forums and got some help but am frustrated. I am interrested in doing flash art and floral. Any help would be appricateded
  10. That is possibly one of the coolest thing I have seen. I like the single action on the hip. Have you by chance read the book Boneshaker I think you would enjoy it?
  11. Just taking the time to introduce myself to the forum. My name is Steve I am from the Northern California area and I am just getting started in leather working, so far I have only made three handgun holsters and a beer/soda holsters (had some scrap pieces) But I would really like to start carving, stamping and getting into to other projects with more detail. If anyone knows of any good books, videos or sound advice to help me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Thanks. This is an awsome site.
  12. My holsters turned out descent, still just a beginner but hopefully with time I will improve. I am from the Chico area.
  13. Leather Ink, what part of northern california are from if you don't mind saying. I just got into leather working and so far only have made several holsters and some tinkering around projects. I am really wanting to get into carving but like you, want to do something different than the norm.
