Well I have an ace up my sleeve for these Argentine tools. My fiance is from there and her mother is going there next month. Maybe I can get her to see if she can find me some when she gets there lol If not I will have my little lady just translate the entire page for me to figure out how to get them.

I tried to search this just in case its not a repost but came up with pages and pages of posts with "motorcycle seat" in it. Although some are going to be useful for when it comes to dying and sealing but I would like to know if there is a link, PDF, DVD, Books etc on a step by step process for making seats. If anyone could help that would be amazing! Basically my plan is to practice tooling and then practice some more and make a one of a kind seat that can be auctioned off for a charity set out to raise funds for wounded soldiers here in Canada. I am a soldier myself and have lost lots of friends and have had many more seriously injured. So this is something I feel deep down in my bones I need to do. If anyone would like to collaborate with me on this project I would welcome that as I do not want to screw this up! Thanks and I really hope I get something. Darren

Maybe Vaseline? I know tattoo artist use it all the time on clients so it probably wouldnt be that far fetched.

Has anyone else attempted to use a tattoo machine to do some work on their leather? I have a lot of friends in the tattoo industry so hanging around with them gave me a curious idea and that was to try and use a tattoo machine to do some leather work. I was in the process of making my fiance her belt when I worked up the nerve to attempt using my machine on the leather. It didn't turn out to to bad. I only used it to do some shading in the flower, didn't try to use and dye's with it in fear I would fling it across my living room making a major mess. Here is a little about what the belt means. My fiances middle name is Ayelen and in Quechua means flower of the moon. So I carved out a Calla Lilly with my Swivel knife and stamped the rest. This is a before I stained it picture. Lost the after picture so I will have to track down her belt and take another photo. ayelen.tiff

I am curious if there happens to be any one in Ontario Canada, preferably in the Toronto GTA that wouldn't mind getting together to show me the ropes on some leather tooling? I don't mind reading all the awesome and helpful posts but I am a hands on learner. I learn much more quickly by watching and doing then reading. Thanks. Darren

Thanks, I will check them out. This link is sorta what I am looking for. I have an idea how to do it but not good enough to attempt it haha. http://www.roll-ups.co.uk/ishop/879/shopscr5328.html -
As the title says I am looking for a tobacco pouch pattern. I am looking for one that would use a draw string to seal it up. Looking to make some as gifts for my fiancee's family to cary yerba leaves for drinking Mate. If someone could help that would be awesome. Thanks

Does anyone know of a decently priced software program (preferably for MAC) that I can get to help make and design my own patterns?

I am patiently waiting and looking forward to more lessons! :D
