  1. Thank you for this post! Standard Rivet is a great company and they have been a very friendly and reliable supplier of ours for almost 20 years! I'm curious about this Chicago Bag company???????
  2. if it is the correct website, on the home page it says there is currently a two week lead time. Seems long, eh? We don't know them, sorry.
  3. what is the size of this buckle?
  4. Thank you for the positive feedback and your loyalty everyone. Please know that we are working hard behind the scenes to make doing business with OTB even better!
  5. Thank you for looking to us first. The only plastic type clips we have are the ones we use on our CueClip product. We have these in black. You can see them here. Let me know if you would like a free sample. http://www.cueclip.com/CueClip.html I also found the same company as the contributor above. I found them on Amazon. Looks like they have a great selection. All my best,
  6. Hi DrmCa....we definitely have 3/16" solid brass nickel grommets, sold by the gross, Part #grom-00-sbn, if you need the inside diameter to be 3/16. The post is 1/8". Page 20 in our catalog. Email me...
  7. Thank you for the positive feedback! Greatly appreciated. Thank you nstarleather!
  8. Thank you Stitch. Your business and loyalty is greatly appreciated.
  9. makes sense...and OTB does offer hundreds of items in solid brass, just not those darn tuck catches. Also, make sure when you order a piece of hardware that is solid brass, that it also doesn't have plating on top, which happens, and isn't always specified. Polish and lacquer is good though. Let us know if anyone needs anything sourced. We can tool things for anyone, just provide a drawing, sketch, description, etc. Would love to see your briefcases in the Gallery! All my best, Jackie@ohiotravelbag.com
  10. Hi friends. Can you let me know why you desire or need solid brass? These are rare and we've never seen requests for them. OTB can import them, but it has been our experience that people don't want to pay up that much (sometimes double). I took a quick picture of two small cast ones we have in stock (we have a few more). See the attached image. The small nickel one is really nice and substantial. I would be happy to mail a free sample to you today. Almost all of the backs use prongs to attach and then the front gets screwed on. I've also ordered a solid brass one from a competitor, just to test it for my own piece of mind :-). Let me know if I can be of service. All my best, Jackie@ohiotravelbag.com sorry, attaching a file is a two-step process....I'm still new here .
  11. Hi friends...sorry I was out of town for a few days. Thank you for the referrals in this feed. I definitely agree that our online shopping experience has a lot to be desired. We are working very hard, preparing to launch our new E-Commerce site on November 1st. It will dramatically change our business :-). Anna G...we definitely have some appropriate smaller hardware that is solid brass nickel, but everything is plated, because it will rust if it is not. We have imported some "raw" hardware in the past, but it will come with oil on it (which you really don't want to deal with). If you can work with us and find some pieces you are interested in, we can check with our supplier to see what kind of plating is on it. There are levels of plating. You may want to pay up for hardware that is 1. sandcasted, then 2. polished, then 3. lacquered. 90% of the hardware available to you from us and our competitors is imported, however OTB stocks over 10,000 items for same-day shipping. I would also be happy to send you some free samples. Here is the link to our online catalog. http://www.ohiotravelbag.com/PDF/P-214_Hardware-Finished_Goods_Catalog-web.pdf We are also adding hundreds of new items, in preparation for our new catalog and website. If you let me know what you need I can go through our new parts and find some solutions. Please call or email me, jackie@ohiotravelbag.com, 800-800-1941 ext.116. I am confident that you will not find another company willing to provide you better personal service than OTB (and me)! Thank you Art. You know us; you really know us! You can order online...just a little challenging and we are sorry about that. Let me know if I can walk you through it; set up an account if needed, etc. You can always call here and talk to real live, pleasant person too. 800-800-1941
  12. Welcome! You won't be disappointed with the abundance of assistance and inspiration found on this site. All my best, Jackie http://www.ohiotravelbag.com
  13. Hi LJ, I meant we could look at a few different international shipping methods and I would be willing to pass on some discounts we receive from UPS Intl if you chose that most dependable route. If it is under 4 lbs, you could send the affordable International First Class mail, but we can't guarantee delivery times or "delivery". Duties are all on you. No way to get around that, or least no way OTB works around it.
  14. LJ, we can ship to Austria and most countries in Europe. We can try to find an economical way to ship the product to you with duties and fees in mind. Jackie jackie@ohiotravelbag.com http://www.ohiotravelbag.com
  15. Here are a few new ones. We have six pages of conchos and ornaments, pages 83-88 in our online or printed catalog. http://www.ohiotravelbag.com/PDF/P-214_Hardware-Finished_Goods_Catalog-web.pdf All of these items are in stock and we can ship out to you today if you find something you like. You could have it in Michigan by Monday or Tuesday. Good luck on your search and have a great day! jackie@ohiotravelbag.com
  16. I know where....call Rebecca at 800-800-1941; she is at extension 101. She can send you actual pictures of what we have; send samples, etc. http://www.ohiotravelbag.com/PDF/P-214_Hardware-Finished_Goods_Catalog-web.pdf#page=186 we think you may like the flat edge chain, our part #P-987
  17. If you are talking about The Leather Guy in MN, we like him. We like him a lot and have been doing business with "him" for years.
  18. Thanks EJ. We have not carried the hide glue you are referring to for many years. Remember the saying about sending an old horse to the glue factory? Maybe you could use this hide glue for your application from Lee Valley Tools, a great customer of ours. http://www.leevalley.com/US/Wood/page.aspx?p=20002&cat=1,110,42965&ap=1 We are one satisfied company because of satisfied customers like you! Thank you johnv474!
  19. Winters aren't so great in Cleveland....but we LOVE summertime here at OTB. We are adding new products every day. Pictured from left to right are: Rebecca (Customer Service), Bruce Oppenehim (owner) and Marla (Accounting). Look how obedient the dog in the middle is!
  20. We are looking for those Martingale chains as I type. What size chain? Rings?
  21. Tom G, thank you for the feedback about Sandy Simpson. She is a long time employee, very loyal to OTB and our customers. We are very lucky to have her and the other cool people she works with too! That is pretty awesome of you, considering we made a mistake on your last order. Thank you for providing us the opportunity to correct it!
  22. Thanks Art. We greatly appreciate the kind feedback. Thanks Art. We greatly appreciate your kind feedback and will continue to strive to make every experiance with us a good one. Please let us know if there are things on your "wish or need" list that you can't find in our catalog. We will go searching for you!
  23. Some people in this network may have known Paul Gallin, co-owner and President of Ohio Travel Bag for 40 years. He passed away suddenly in January of this year. He cared about OTB's customers and vendors. His OTB employees were his second family and we miss him dearly.
