Welcome to the forum, haven't made any saddle bags for bikes yet. Have used veg tanned to make tools bags for bikes. I have used chrome tanned & oil tanned leather for Horse saddle bags & chinks/chaps, these seem to weather well with little care. I will be interested too, to see what others are using. -
simply beautiful work.

I haven't done any seats that are molded, I like what you did with yours, I generally build the flat seats seats that don't have much contour.

just finished a tool bag and used SnoSeal. Works greats. Ive used SnoSeal on boots for about 20 years since I was in the army. some boots came out completely water proof. I always use the oven method. hope this helps

Thanks, I appreciate the props. Next up is getting all my tins powder coated. Then I will be making so side/swing arm bags. I have a few hurdles to cross on those projects, due to the side brake light and plate.

Well its finished. Started teaching 11 kids leather tooling/carving. It got my juices flowing so I decided to finish this tool bag I started back a while ago. It's a beta, so there are few things I don't like about it. Anyhow here it is.
