  1. Made this one a few minutes ago. Chris
  2. Thank you. Seems I learn something with each one I make. Chris
  3. Here's one I just made using some royalty free clipart that I downloaded when I got my vinyl cutter a couple years ago. Just another test to help me figure out the process a bit more. It's an 1 1/4" tall and made out of some scrap delrin I had. Chris
  4. Will do. Chris
  5. You're welcome. Not that I wouldn't want to sell them if I could, but the milling process is kind of a slow one. If I could mill a master and then sell duplicates of that then I would consider it. I just don't know how well that would work. Chris
  6. I did try a toothbrush but a lot of them just wouldn't come loose. I kind of wonder now if I put it in the freezer first if that would make them easier to get off with a toothbrush. Chris
  7. I hadn't really planned on it. They take a good while to make so unless I could come up with a way to quickly reproduce them I just don't think its feasible. Chris
  8. I use a 30 degree cutter on it with a 1/16" endmill for cleanup. The stamp is an inch tall. The downside to milling them is all the fuzz left after milling that has to be cleaned up.
  9. The material is delrin and I'm milling them on a small benchtop milling machine that's CNC controlled. Chris
  10. I had a go at making myself a simple makers stamp this afternoon. All in all I'm pretty happy with it. Chris
  11. Very nice! Your stamps always look awesome. Chris
  12. Thanks
  13. Wanted to try one with text in it, so I made this one. The stamp looks rough because I haven't completely finished cleaning off the fuzz that happens when milling them. Chris
  14. Made this one this afternoon Chris
  15. Thanks. I use an arbor press to do large stamps like that. Chris
  16. I hadn't made any stamps in a good while so I thought I'd make one today. This is the Hydra symbol, sorry the pictures not better than it is. I machined it out of delrin on my benchtop cnc milling machine. Chris
  17. I put the pattern in the patterns section the other day. This is the pattern I used to make the 110 sheath above. I also use a piece of delrin tubing over the rivet so as to prolong the edge of the blade, rather than having it run along the rivet itself. Enjoy Chris www.builderofstuff.com quick draw sheath.pdf
  18. I'd love to see pictures of any sheaths made from my pattern. Chris Builderofstuff.com

  20. I just made one of these last night and love the design. Thank you for sharing the pattern. Chris Builderofstuff.com
  21. Here's my pattern that I used to make the one I posted in the show off section years ago. When I made mine I used two layers of 4-6 oz leather so I had a finished surface on the inside and out. Where the two rivets go I cut small pieces of delrin tubing so the blade didn't ride against the metal rivets. It'll keep your blade sharp much longer. For the belt strap again it's two layers of 4-6 oz and it's cut long enough that when it wraps around the sheath there is a bit of gap, and it's only stitched at the ends, that way you can where it anywhere on your belt and have it facing either direction. Hope this helps. I did a test print to make sure that the pdf came out to the right size when printed. Chris www.builderofstuff.com quick draw sheath.pdf
