the TLF in Ft Worth,Tx has a great museum....and i think theres still a great display set up at the Ft Worth stock yards....Jim Linnell has recently completed work on his new studio(close to Ft Worth) and its pretty much like a museum as well...ive been out there a cpl times for workshops...its a true delight to live in an area where where leather thrives...even better that i get to be friends with some of the masters .

fantastic info in this discussion...thank you all for sharing!!

although its definitely pricey over anything else, roo is the way to go...you'll hear back from a customer that cow lace wore out n broke before you'll hear it about roo...especially on a heavily used wallet...if the item is more decorative, cow is fine...i also do some fancy knots...i wont do em with anything but roo...ya jus have ta pass the added expense to the customer, and when you explain the options it sells its self...otherwise they may have to pay you to re-lace...worse yet, you may have to re-lace under warranty!!

a fellow member here has been kind enough to send me a note advising me that this topic may affect me...*blush* im flattered that one of my peers would recognize my work...and indeed 2 of the pics on that site have been swiped from MY site...funny thing is...those are pics of gifts made for people close to me...and are STOHLMAN designs printed in books which are of course copyrighted...to the best of my knowledge, those designs are NOT suposed to be used on items to be sold for proffit...therefore i will contact my friend Jim Linnell and ask if Tandy is interested in taking action- considering that the pics are being presented as items available for sale~ thank you Leather Bum!!
