It's just myself, my husband and my son here for New Year's Eve. We've started a traditional New Year's Eve Wii tournament. LOL The winner gets their name added to the leather plaque I made. It's a big production we make a bunch of snacks and finger foods. We each get to pick three games we want to play and then we draw for a 10th one. The person who wins the most amount of games wins if there is a tie we play a sudden death tie breaker. I even got out of the bath last night and caught my husband practicing! LOL

I just wanted to show a couple of things I made for my husband for Christmas. I don't get to work with leather a lot so I'm not as skilled as some of you all but I enjoy doing it when I can. They are both Tandy projects the first one is a checkbook I made the skull patterns myself from some clip art I found online. The second is a tri fold wallet. I was very nervous about doing it because this was my first time attempting the basket weave pattern.

Wow, that is very nice! My projects weren't near that nice and I thought I was doing good. You are doing great!

That is gorgeous! You're right about the attitude that it's OK to mess up. That is my biggest problem; because in the line of work I used to do to mess up meant BIG trouble. I've had to let go of my fear and perfectionist attitude a bit and go with the flow.

Hi! Hmmmm where do I start? Well, it was after being laid off from my online writing job that I began to look for something to fill my spare time, not that I have a lot of that because I homeschool my nine year old son, anyway I was browsing Hobby Lobby and saw this leather kit and thought how neat that was. Well, now I am my Tandy store's favorite customer. LOL I've only made a few things but I'm pleased with the way they have turned out. My plain is to make all of my family some little something. I'm attaching a picture of a wallet I made for my husband.
