It's for soft briefcases. The hardware i'm looking for is mainly Closure and D-ring hardware.
-
Thanks for all of the links but It's not quite what i'm looking for! English is not my native language, but I will try to explain myself better. With exclusive I mean luxuary hardware. Not just thin hardware made out of sheet metal. I want solid hardware , maybe cast parts in silver or bronze that you can actually feel the weight of the metal when you are holding it in your hand . A high price is not a problem if the quality matches the price. Maybe someone have Links to people making handmade or custom hardware.

Laptop Bag
Bifrost replied to Bifrost's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Thanks everybody! Its sewn with machine with some hand stitch details. -
Hi! This is a laptop bag made out of leather and canvas. On the inside it has a slot for a laptop, iPad, business cards, and phone / keys. The shoulder strap is removable. This was the first time making a bag like this. It was actually easier to make than I first thought. But I was afraid all the time that I would not be able to turn it inside out at the end Allt critique is welcome! Kind regards Tommy

Leather And Canvas Bag
Bifrost replied to Bifrost's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
The handles are just cut out and edge beveled. Not lined or anything. I agree with you that sewing the handles would look nice Ralph. I actually lined and sewed the handles on the prototype before I did this one. But my goal is to be able to make this bag in one day of work and it just took to long time to line and sew the handles. So I try to keep it as basic as possible. -
Leather And Canvas Bag

Yes it's lined with canvas, the same colour as the exterior. Allt fabric edges are folded. -
Hi! I tried to create a bag that I would be able to finish in one day, not have too expensive material costs but still not be a small bag. This is what I came up with, a canvas and leather bag. This is the first time I have tried to combine canvas and leather but I think they go well together. All critique is welcome /Tommy

Wallet With Lambskin

Hi! Outside 2 oz, inside soft lambskin. First time using lambskin for the interior, it feels really soft and nice but took some time to get used to work with. Kind regards Tommy -
Wallets In The Snow
Bifrost replied to Bifrost's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
I noticed that too. Just got a sewing machine and need to learn to do that properly. Actually, these are the first I sewn with the machine -
Hi! At the moment everything is white and covered with snow where I live in Sweden. So I felt the need to make up for this with some colorful wallets Kind regards Tommy

Some butterfly brooches i've been experimenting with lately. Around 1mm (2 1/2 oz) thick leather. Tooled and wetformed. /Tommy

Hi! I recently bought a singer 29k4. But I can't secure the thread properly at the end and the beginning. When I sew fabric with my ordinary sewing machine I just go back and forward. But when I do the same with my singer on leather I can easily loosen the thread just by running my nails over the end or beginning of the thread a few times. Do you have any idea how to properly secure the tread? I'm using a polyester thread and have heard about burning the end of the threads or something. All ideas are welcome Kind regards Tommy

This is hand sewn, so I don't know.

Thanks all! Yes, I made the pattern myself. Except for the handle, it's from making leather cases vol 2.

This is the first briefcase I’ve done. I liked how it turned out and the customer really liked it It has two big pockets and one accordion pocket in front that close with magnetic buttons. I took a picture of me carrying it just to show the size (but the customer was a girl). It took some time to make this. I really need to get a machine instead of hand sewing products this big. All critique is welcome. Regards Tommy
