  1. Looks great! One of these days Im going to have to break down and learn to do better Sheridan stuff.
  2. Sylvia, I SOOO hear you on the extra charge for the black!! I've been tempted to do the same thing! I've gone to using multiple coats of USMC black when I use it. If I can vinegroon the thing it goes in the tank, but I have had issues with tooling fading a bit on a full dip sometimes.
  3. Yea, same thing here. I mold around the safety on a right-handed holster quite a bit to hold it in the cocked and locked position. No way in hell am I ever even going to mention that it would do anything to setting the safety on or off.
  4. Wow, Ive had USMC black come off some when putting finish on, but nothing like that! How was the USMC applied? Rubbed in or an airbrush?
  5. lol, love the girls at my local Tandy!!! heh, they so rock... they had some stuff set aside for me because they knew I was coming in today for the 'Open House'. I started on the tank and fender bib project today. Just getting the general layout going and seeing what is going to work before putting pattern to leather.
  6. Thanks Chris! Yea, that was another question I had as well, what weight leather. I have some gorgeous HO 6oz that will be perfect for it. Now, what do you all use to seal it up well from the elements? The tooling is going to be highlighted and I don't want it to get hosed up if water gets on it. Thanks again, Kelly
  7. Thanks a ton Chancey! This is exactly what I was looking for. Love this place for the knowledge shared among us. I will find something to stiffen it up some and make sure that it doesn't curl up. This order seems like a really good chance to get some of my work out in the bike show scene around these parts so I want it to be perfect.
  8. Going to be starting work on a tank bib and fender cover for a Fatboy. What do you all use for backing on things that will be up against the paint. This is going on a completely custom ride so I don't want to dink up the paint as the bib and cover ride there. Would just straight pigskin work ok? Thanks all!
  9. Awesome!!!!!! Can't wait! Have an order this week that they will be used on, heh, actually rolled him back a half week so that the maul and the burnishers would be in.... and it looks like they will! Woot!
  10. Cripes! Something else to put on the wishlist! Those look great!
  11. Depending on how much you like the doggie... Nails maybe? Grabber screws hold well too! Jus' kiddin! I like the quick snap buckles and the stainless steel rller buckles for dog collars. Hardest part if getting them to properly measure the pooch to get the collar to fit.
