  1. Looking for the dimensions and pattern for the Park Service Hat band. No tooling. As this is for an Alaskan State park service Employee. Can anyone tell me where to get, aquire or beginning for this pattern. The State version uses leather Tabs to hold the rings, not the silver pine cones. Please help.
  2. My experience with Cowboy boots and the G26, lead me to ask this. Will it not require a custom pair of boots so that the shaft of the boot will be stiff enough to support the weight of the Glock with a loaded magazine?
  3. I am heading outside to the Northeast, Vermont maybe, Western New York Definitely, and Possibly Virginia outside of DC. As there are not a lot of workshops close to where I live in the Greatland (Alaska for you that live outside) I was hoping to catch a workshop on carving, tooling, you name it. I am learning a lot from this forum, but would like to learn in a more formal setting. There is also the possibility that I would be willing to apprentice in a holster, belt and tack shop. I would prefer the west or Rockies for this arrangement. but have relatives along the East coast. Thanks for any ideas, Rodney
  4. Here is a post on wet forming bags that may help you. With some wooden blocks, wood rasps and sandpaper I think you could produce the forms you desire. By Magikelly wet forming bags
  5. Just wanted to publicly say thank you to Ed The Bearman. I ordered one of his mauls, a 16 ounce. And it is a beautiful piece of functional art. I would recommend his work to anyone. Thanks again Ed, RW
  6. Looks like a swivel knife pattern. Someone else may give a more in depth answer.
  7. Ed, Beautiful work. Interested in the 16 ounce. and maybe the 19 ounce. I will PM you also. From the land of big bears. Rodney
  8. Just out of my own curiosity, I would like to reproduce a Marine Corps Leather Neck. Like the Marines got one of their nicknames from. Preferably the most recent version which would have been late 1800s to WW 1 era if I am guessing correctly. I have done several searches and struck out. Does anyone have a pattern or know where I can find pictures of the Neck Stock. With photos or drawings of one I should be able to reproduce it. Thank you in advance. R Edited because the Title did not keep U S M C capitalized. I do not wish to insult those that are serving or have served.
  9. I think you could make a decent paddle out of Kydex. When I had to carry everyday I had a paddle rig that had a Kydex paddle.
