I am from Hialeah, FL and start making fold over type sheaths for my knives about 6-8 months ago. After playing with it for awhile I met a Leathersmith in Miami that has given me some advise and help. I have also tried my hand at a couple of plain holsters for my pistols. Recently I took a 4 hour class on carving, not as simple as it looks. That is what I am practicing on in my spare time. Hoping to do a lot of reading and practice some more after reading all I can on this site. Attached you will find samples of some of what I have made. The folder sheath is what I have produced the most, 22 to date as my friends and students like the idea of a formed horizonal sheath for the carry of thier pocket knife.
