  1. Tonight I started my first guitar strap. I finally receive all my tools and six hides. I'm a weaver by trade and I'm incorporating leather into my line of products. This is going to be another learning period for me, but the creative part I truly enjoy. I'll post pic as I go.

    Sorry for all these ?, but I'm just getting started and trying to learn as much as I can. My ? about mauls is : I plan to purchase two sizes. One 16 oz. for tooling and a 48 oz. for punching. Is this a good comb for these jobs ? And do I need to go low or high on anyone ? Thanks for the help. Lynn

    Glue

    I know this ? has been ask before, I'm just starting out and need to purchase glue. With all the different brands which one will work best for me ? I know this is a wide area here, dry time isn't a factor. (30 minutes is fine) I will be gluing leather to cotton and wool strap and leather to leather. Hope this help Lynn

  14. Leather Girl, I'm new to leather working, I'm a weaver by trade but need a leather line of goods to go with my straps. I know this machine is a little over the top for what I need but you never know what's in the future.

  18. Love those saddle, back in the 70's i spent a lot of time setting on one. Had a friend in North Florida who's father train hunting dogs on the plantation and these were some of the saddle he used. That picture of that saddle brings back some great times in my past. Thanks for posting TFD
