  1. I have tried clicking twice but still no improvement. I agree that ISP can be slow at times but when checking other sites I have no problem getting things to open. A little frustrating a I have to close out as not able to open things in a reasonable manner. Hopefully t is just a temporary thing and will soon go away. Also have noticed that some of the words I am typing are not completed and I have to go back an correct them. Have been very careful to strike all characters and times will not space properly. I know that I am not a fast typist so I can scratch the idea of me typing excessively fast. Is also placing a red wavy line under some of the words before I have finished typing them. Another day to figure things out. Thank you for responding and God Bless. Ray
  2. Anyone having trouble with the site? I am having problems opening different topics in all areas of the site. Just seems to sit there and do nothing after I have clicked on a particular item I wish to open and read. Have gone to other sites to see if it might be a problem with my computer but all functions well on other sites. Whatever it is,I hope that it is soon rectified. God Bless. Ray
  3. If this moves forward, I would like to participate. God Bless Ray
  4. Hey Sylvia, Looked around on Springfield site yesterday and could no longer find the "original" wooden strap cutter. Found the blades but perhaps they no longer sell the strap cutter. Oh well, just another day.--------- Wow, that is a great looking camera. Puts a dent in the budget but will pay dividends in the future. Probably a bit more than I could handle as I have to use a simple point and shoot device, and have to look at the instructions when I do that. lol. Now you must take pics of all your projects and put them on the site. Sure you will enjoy learning to use all the features that this one will have. Some years ago, I had a very large collection of coinage and took a stab at close up photography of the coins. Not my realm and another language spoken here. Even purchased a great stereo microscope to help but never got around to using it and now just another item for me to sell. Life is grand. God Bless. Ray
  5. Hey Sylvia, I have an Osborne strap cutter, somewhat of an older model which is nice but find that the one I purchased from Bunkhouse Tools works a bit easier for me. I did sent the Osborne to a plating company and had it chrome plated, including the blade, and I now use it for a display item. Had one of the wooden Tandy units but misplaced it along the way. Have been told that the wooden "original" sold by Springfield Leather is better so next order I will try that one as well. Hope the cut wasn't serious. I use extreme caution around sharps as can create havoc around here. Sincerely hope that you Thanksgiving is a wonderful time and things just keep getting better every day. God Bless. Ray
  6. Congratulations !!!!!! Always thrilling to obtain new tools for the craft. In addition to being loaded with new tools, you will soon have a beautiful child to share your life with. What a wonderful way to the future. God Bless. Ray
  7. Wishing everyone the very best over the Thanksgiving Holiday. A time to remember from whence we came and the struggles of those who led the way. God Bless you all. Ray
  8. Howdy All. I purchased one of the strap cutters from Bunkhouse Tools and enjoy using it. Well made of heavy reinforced resin and works as good as any strap cutter I have used. They make some great items and are always a pleasure to chat with on the phone. God Bless. Ray 2nd attempt to get this posted.
  9. Hello Mad, Probably went through okay but folks may be busy or away for the Holiday. I'm sure they will get back with you if there is a problem, or not. God Bless. Ray

  12. Hey Alan, Random for sure. Have them all in my favorites list and always adding more. Most all of the listed sites, I have worked with in the past. No complaints about any of them and great assortment of items to browse through. God Bless. Ray
  13. Hello Alphonse, Might be good to contact Bob Kovar at Toledo Sewing Machine, for a comparable package. He has a great inventory and does ship to any location. Just a thought. God Bless. Ray
  14. There are many more neat sites to shop around in. One important site I forgot to list is; www.brucejohnsonleather.com Sorry Bruce. God Bless. Ray
  15. Thank you Scott, for getting it right for me. Have opened a couple of small stores using same name, the other being; www.goodthings1.webstore.com . Feel sure I got this one correctly listed. lol. So many things to move out and so little time left to do it. If I had to start over, I often wonder if I would invest so much in collecting or ??????? At least it was fun at the time. Thanks again and God Bless. Ray
  16. Hello Sluggo, Are you talking about the 1" square stamps or the one piece stamp used for backgrounds, etc? The slim stamping tool handles have been modified by crafters, to allow a better grip. One that I had read about mentioned dipping the handle in the liquid rubber material made for tools and available at hardware stores. I tried it and it does allow a better grip of the tool but you have to trim off the cap over the end before striking with mallet. I'm sure there are other ways to do it but that is what came to mind at the moment. Perhaps other will jump in and give some advice. God Bless. Ray
  17. Hello Warpe, Go to www.abebooks.com and type in "leathercraft" in search bar. Most of the titles suggested to you will be found there, at reasonable prices from a varied amount of sellers. Some offer free shipping as well. God Bless. Ray
  18. Howdy Folks, While idle, I did a search for leathercraft books and wanted to pass on what I found. www.abebooks.com Type in, "leathercraft", in search bar and they bring up 727 results. Many of the same title but varied prices via selection of sellers. Good selection of books, authors and prices. All appeared to be very reasonable. Good way to find that book you have been seeking. Hope this is of use to some of you. God Bless. Ray
  19. THE STAMPER/EMBOSSER HAS BEEN SOLD.
  20. Hello Jeffzilla, Ohio Travel Bag also has a good selection with different length posts. God Bless. Ray
  21. Hello Andy. Always nice to be able to share what I have found and what others have shared with me. God Bless. Ray 2nd attempt to get posted.
  22. Howdy all, Going through the list of suppliers I have gathered, I thought I would share them. Varied products and some of the sites require a bit of digging into to find things that may be relevant but, still handy to have available, should a need arise. Hope you enjoy looking through them. God Bless. Ray I will just assume that we all know to add www. before each listing and will not type repeatedly. 1. SPRINGFIELDLEATHER.COM 2. OHIOTRAVELBAG.COM 3. GOLDSTARTOOL.COM 4. 23. Hello Mike, You are correct about not a lot of sales but price is right. I would use something like eBay but their pricing has run amok, in my opinion. Fellow leathercrafter on this site hooked me up to ecrafter and deciding to do a bit of searching, found another free site that is in the development stage but is very easy to work with. I opened a store there, "goodthings1.webstore.com" and still trying to find more to list. Getting everything together that I have to sell is a chore, ie; pics, getting into computer, descriptions, etc. As long as I can go at it slowly, I may get something going yet. One important lesson I have learned, is that you need to think ahead when collecting so many goodies, about how you will dispose of the items when that time nears. We learn a lot, but many times somewhat later than what would be considered wise. How does that cliche go, too smart young and to old wise? Never could get it right. lol. Do understand the concept these days. It was all worth it as I did have a grand time through the years and would probably do something similar if I was doing it again. Enjoyed myself and brought some cheer to others so it paid great dividends. Hope you had a great weekend and are looking forward to a greater week ahead. Soon another year will have passed and we can wonder what the next will bring. Good things, I hope. Thanks again, for your assistance and advice. God Bless. Ray
  24. Hey Mike, Finally got the listing corrected. They seem to have a good support team in place and help folks like me with problems. I doubt if I will drop any more prices as I feel comfortable that the offer is a good offer. I would be happy to dispose of the partial bottles if someone did not want them but the dye is still good and can be used. You mentioned donating to groups. You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to get groups to take things around here. I had several hundreds of dollars in new acrylic paints that I offered to several chaitable groups but none would ever show up or contact me and take them. Ended up giving to fellow leathercrafters children when they visited one day. Won't go that route anymore. I am, very slowly, ridding myself of everything I own. Last to go will be my leathercraft items that I intend to use awhile longer, God willing. It saddens me to see shows like pickers, and others, purchasing things I have been attempting to sell for less than half of what they are paying, and many times, less than that. Sent them a listing of things I had but they wouldn't respond. Gent that is involved with those type shows explained the reasoning behind their lack of response so I at least, had some idea of how it goes. They visited a very short distance from my place, more than once, but never could get them here. Could have filled one of their stores with things I had here. lol. Life goes on. Thank you for your kind assistance. God Bless. Ray
  25. Hello Mike, Attempted to respond a bit earlier but having difficulty getting post to complete. This has been a very "trying" week and hope next week is better. I saw what you mentioned and made every attempt to correct this but the site does not offer, under the edit segment, a place to correct "condition" of any item. Bummer. Contacted them @ issue and sure they will lend a hand. Meanwhile, I added a line or two in the item description and hope this helps for now. I cannot thank you enough, for pointing this out to me. I truly do not need anymore problematic issues popping up at this point. Sort of wish someone would come and buy out my whole place. lol. God Bless. Ray 2nd attempt to get this posted.
