  2. looks good I been trying floral tooling for four years and it allways looks awful.
  3. I make a lot of of leather curbs by making slits in it just like a set of hobbles. I make it thiner to at the end and tie it like a rope halter
  4. I use 14 oz leather that isn't taned all the way through. It has a lot of rawhide in it and never seems to stretch or brake. But when I started out I'd make em out of 6 -7 oz stuff it strtched but every one wanted them
  5. does any one have a leather bullnose tappadero pattern? I would like to see a picture or two. A costermer of mine requested them thanks
  6. you want cheap and some what easy if ur a jack of all trades, I took a bearing press welded up som angle iron on both top and bottom and took some 3/8 flat steel and welded it to the top. On the bottom I put 3/16 cheat metal and glued 1/2 poly board on it. It woorks great but it's hand operated.
  7. ok I been makin saddles and tack in spare time day workin and riding colts the rest of the time. I was told you can get leather cheaper with a tax Id number or business license. Is this true. I know I'll have to pay unkle sam but I fugured yal woukd know. If so do you talk to the courthouse or where.

I'd like to know were a good place to buy trees from rawhide coverd to be specific, i ve used bowden but their modified associations aint what my consumers are lookin for all I ever order are will james and association trees if you have a favorit please share. Cause I'm geting to work on saddles part time now so I need to get goin with a company my costermers like. Thanks

  12. I'm lookin for a machine to sew my saddle skirts, they usually range from 1/2 and less. I know I can get a cheaper machine that sews 1/2 but I don't want to constantly fix the timming. I'm in a budget but what is a good machine to sew skirts with, I looked at the ferdco 440 and the techsew GA5-1R but I heard they aint any good so I need advice.
