Is there any home made recipe for an antique finish that you know of, I have heard some has been made from Mop N Glow, just curious ?

I am interested in doing a little experimenting, dos anyone have any information on home made Antique finishes For Tooled Veg Tan Leather. I have been told its made with floor polish, and some with coffee any ideas welcomed...

This may sound funny, but I think I have tried them all, the the best I have found for lasting strength, especially on blade sheaths is "Elmers Glue All" I did a lot of experiments, and have found nothing better. Even the old white school has a tensile strength of 3000 lbs when cured.....Try it sometime.... -
I have been looking for a recipe for home made Antique finish for Veg tan tooling leather. Just wanted to check to see if you have any ideas, I have been told it is mixed with floor polish. I would like to do an experiment to see what happens. thanks so much for your above recipe, I am going to try this one out
