  1. I called Springfield leather and asked about them being a dist. The more calls they recieve, the more it will be considered. I'm just a hobbiest for now,but if others will buy them I will, philip machine is the last holdout.
  2. I found philip machine in RI,called them and found they mfg orders in the 1,000+ range. They can work with you on inventory but they may/may not have in stock, and 100 pcs. I'm looking for a distributer to buy 1in conway and roller buckles, also 1/2-5/8-3/4-1 1/4-1 -1/2 roller buckles or other belt buckles.I'm trying to stay USA made, but I'm tired of "everything is made in china". If someone starts a buisness and carries Philip Machine hardware count me in. I believe they really can meet pricing with labor cost vs import tax from china. Brass cost the same in usa as china as it's a world market.
  3. I'm interested in doing some tooling and have been notified that Sheridan style tooling from Japan at SLC is in stock.Anyone See Or purchase any of these stamps yet? What is the most needed to get started? I realize that quality stamps are sharper, and you can tell a difference,I just can't afford to buy @ 50.00 a stamp for each one.I just want to know if those will be good for start, and I guess you know when that's not good enough. Any help would be apreciated.
  4. I'm also a new customer at Maverick Leather. So far ,service is good, people friendly, but they only sell leather, and have a shipment of Herman Oak which should be there for those who want it.I'm better off using other leather for now.
  5. I've called Tony a few times getting the kinks worked out on the #9 my Dad used. 1-860-8252 is the no I used, may have to leave message ;but He will call back.
  6. I found this site looking for info for the Luberto no9 that was my Fathers.Getting closer to Semi-Retirement[?] and looking for a hobby to fill in. I think there is room here for someone to repair tack and make a few things as well.At this time I need to learn a lot of skills before try to make income from sewing. I tooled a couple of wallets and belts yrs ago,and I think I can find the Rose pattern[belt] if it's in Dad's leather room.I'm also involved with the Back Country Horsemen Redwood Unit so there is a lot of posibilities of projects. From what I've seen, the no9 will fill most of me needs, just no reverse.
  7. It's been a while for this thread, but I've been in contact with Tony on a problem with the no9 my Dad had.He was patient and worked me thru it,and He plans on getting things moving again. He's back and forth between Ct and Mt.
