  2. Space is at a premium here. Shooting and leather work must share the same room. I designed my homemade furniture to fold up, retract or be removable when not in use. Not much veg-tan leather is visible. It is kept, rolled, in wooden boxes with lids, so that it does not darken with UV exposure.
  3. Did you vacuum form the Kydex? I am just starting to experiment with Kydex. My vacuum table is nearly finished and a press form is in the works. I will post pictures and results as soon as I have them.
  4. Had to buy another gun to experiment with this Kydex on :)

:) NICE! I am interested to see the vacuum table!
  5. All them Californians decided that the good stuff was bad for you. Even the Barge cement doesn't stick like it used to.
  6. You are the reason I call myself NoName on here. Nice work!!

  15. I just discovered this site by accident a couple of days ago, so here is an official "hello" to all. I got my first handgun when I was 13 and was introduced to leather craft sometime within the next year. Making holsters was the obvious direction this hobby was meant to go. A big thank you to Don Moon seems appropriate. He was the Tandy Leather store manager who got me completely hooked and who convinced my dad to pay for classes and all the tools it took to really get me started. That was 25 years ago. Since then, my interests have not changed. I am still trying to build a better holster. NoName
  16. Thank you for your service! I started workin with leather in Oct 1988 and for the same apparent reason. I needed holsters. I prefer thumb break made from 2 layers of 4-5 oz with metal and thin rawhide reinforcement in critical areas. T-nuts can be sandwiched in between the layers to provide a removable belt loop or paddle. T-nut spacing can align with after market stuff like Blackhawk Serpa...
