  1. Hi All; Just a note on where to view or purchase complete user and service manual for the 111 class machines. It is available on scribd.com in pdf form.
  2. Adam; If you're looking for used, check out Miami sewing, they have some good old heavy stitchers like Singer's 144w103, along with any other brand you may like. Gump.
  3. lael; I have been making knife sheaths and holsters for 20 odd years and I find Fiebings pro oil dye very water resistant on it own, however I like to keep outdoor gear coated with neatsfoot oil compound and nothing else. I find beeswax the best for sealing the edges. Apply wax after finishing and rub in well with slicker. Leather will absorb more water through an untreated edge than anywhere else. As for the Eco-flo, two thumbs down. Gump.
  4. Cheryl; The large fid is used to lace together the ends of industrial flat belting to run line shaft equipment in old factories. They use what is called pigging, a waxy pigskin lace. The lace is run through the same holes twice and must be pushed aside for the next pass. Since the lace is thick and wide, and belting won't stretch so you need a really stout fid. Gump.
  5. Hi I'm a new member and signed up because of this post. Adler did make a 104-25 and it is not a walking foot machine. There is one for sale on Kijiji Halifax N.S. I looked at several Adler sites and they no longer list any parts for it.The pictures on kijiji are good and it has only one shaft besides the needle bar.It may be a jump foot, but it doesn't look like my 111 w 155 or my 145 w 103. I passed it up because of a lack of available parts or info. Hope info was useful. Gump.
