A brief history in leatherworking

I got hooked as a cub scout making neckerchief slides and book marks that it grew to making a few Tandy Leather kits. then when I was 15 I met a saddle maker who had a saddle shop just down the street from my house so I hung around a lot there getting leather scraps and making knife scabbards and other small leather projects.

he saw I was really interested in learning the craft so he made me his aprentice.

after several years of leatherworking I got burned out then years later due to my disabilitys of being able to workas a pipe welder/fitter

I needed a hobby that would keep my hands busy

so since i liked making things out of leather I decided to get back into working with leather once again.

I started back making a couple of holsters then I met a few local folks at the local TLF at their SAturday leather class and so i got bit by the leatherworking bug once again

Making belts holsters Billfolds and a lot of other stuff.

now here I am buying saddle trees to build another saddle

So the Saga Continues.
