  1. I'm looking to buy pieces of 5oz Chromexcel. I could use about 2sq ft in various colors. Let me know what you have, thanks.
  2. Definitely not making these to sell, just for my own toting around. These are a whole other subculture from challange coins. It is a "worry coin" that has a bearing in, basically a spinning top sans stem. Ive purused google, and was just seeing if anyone had any design sujestions floating around.
  3. So I have been making a few little coin holders and they work well, but I would like to expand and make different ones. Does anyone have any suggestions on different designs, possibly ones that hold more than one coin. My focus is to keep them as thin and streamlined as possible to reduce pocket bulk, while mainting easy removal of said coin (while not being able to fall out on its own). Please excuse my beginner leather skills, I am trying to get better. Any and all suggestions and/or help would be greatly appreciated.
  4. I have perused springfield leather, and did not see any 2oz on their site.
  5. I need 1 (one) square foot of 2oz veg tan calf leather for a wallet. The only places I have seen require the whole hide be bought. If you have about a sq. ft, let me know via pm. Thank you.
  6. Thanks for the responses. I did a quick search and didn't find anything of use, but that thread has great faux wood patterns. I will try my hand with a hair tool, John. Thanks
  7. I have never seen wildebeest before, it is simply stunning. Nice work! Now I have to get some for myself.
  8. This might not be the "proper" way, but I have colored white stingray with sharpie before and then sealed it after drying. It has worked for me.
  9. Does anyone have a tooling pattern for a faux wooden look? I would like to make a belt that looks like wood. Any help? Thanks
  10. Modad, I have seen those scrap packs and they look interesting. Unfortunately, I am in need of specific types and with those packs there is no guarantee of a particular type of exotic. Update: I was able to acquire some stingray and toad, but I am still in need of elephant and shark.
  11. In need of small pieces of elephant and shark. Let me know if you have any, thanks.

  12. Thanks for the replies. I kind of figured that was going to be my option, but just wanted to make sure there was not something like this already out there as a kit. Thanks again. -Phil
  13. Does anyone know of a company that sells belt kits for a double layer belt? I have seen numerous kits for single layered bets, but I am looking for one that I can glue myself and practice my hand-stitching and burnishing. As this will be a concealed carry belt I would want the kit to be somewhat substantial, so something like two 6/7oz pieces, or something a little thicker with a liner. Thanks for any and all help. -Phil
  14. I am in the process of making a few small project and I am wanting to put some exotic trim on a few. I am looking for elephant, stingray, and shark, toad. I only need pieces about 1.5"x4". If anyone has any scraps that they could sell me, please contact me via replying to this thread or a private message. Thank you. -Phil
  15. Yeah the BATF is quite finicky about things like that. But by "wallet holster", I meant simply just a back pocket holster that has a backing to break up the printing and make it look like a "wallet".
  16. Does anyone have a NAA .22 magnum 1and 1/8" pattern on hand? Any type will work, as long as it is not OWB (IE pocket, wallet, IWB). I have search high and low, finding several threads where people have provided patterns, but it was from so long ago that the picture hosting is no longer available. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  17. Looking for a Ruger LCP pocket holster pattern. If you have one, that you would like to share, please contact me.

Phil, I haven't forgotten about you. I just haven't had time to take mine apart. I promise I will get to it later this week! Sorry for the delay.

Thank you Ryan, I sent you a PM.

Mike, no worries. Take your time, and thanks again!

  18. That looks like some top notch stuff! I love to see water just ball up and roll off. Newbie question, how would this be applied to holsters? Would I just substitute this for my normal finish?
