Hello, SPUD672, You already have some in your collection I'd like to have. In your first photo, the knife below the Midas one, does that one have a gold inlay? If so can you take a closer photo so we can see it better, please? And the Robb Barr Special Edition! Plus being the 1 0f 100! You should be proud of that one. What sort of blade set up does it have? I was wondering if they made those with Robb Barr's multi-blade system that a lot of people are trying to get. Thanks for posting the photos. I'm soooo jealous!

Ok, so you guys got me curious enough about this weird subject that I picked up the Scientific American on Ebay that had the article in it. Sorry about my poor scanning abilities, the magazine was 11X17 and the scanner I have is 8 1/2 X 11 so I had to cut and paste the article. But at least I got it crooked too! Interesting, but pretty strange!

I bought this at a garage sale probably 25 years ago for $6. It still has the price tag on it. Since it doesn't have legs, calling it a stitching pony or horse just didn't seem right. Overall it is 13" X 28", jaws are 20" X 5 1/2". The one jaw board has an old hinge attached with flathead screws. The solid mounted jaw has square headed screws. No name or anything as fara as I can see. It appears to never had legs attached.

PcCowboy, What does your stamp look like? I picked up one a while back of a pineapple. I know it used to be a sign of good luck or whatever, but it is pretty strange

Here's a photo of the rose pattern in the dyeing process. I might still go a little darker on the green tones. Used USMC black for the background. I haven't put a finish coat on yet. Shine is from the camera flash.

Adding this tool maker to the list. He made one for me. It has a removable handle in case you want to use the stamp in a clicker press, and it is also made out of a metal so it can be used as a branding stamp also. Hey, John, Thanks. i used 2-3 oz vegetable tan for the whole hat. i did use two layers of 2-3 oz for the brim glued flesh side to flesh side. It is plenty stiff using that thickness. I agree that 5-6 oz would be way too thick and weigh too much when finished.

I made one in the mid `80's. I actually still have it, and yes, the pattern runs small for me too.

Well the geometric pattern seat made its way to being donated to an local auction for Ride for the Cure. Hope it brings in some bucks for them.

I should have. I know I got it off center in the crotch area. I didn't notice it until after I finished lacing it.
