I'll try and upload some pictures. I'm having trouble attaching them. Paint wear is pretty minimal. I would assume it was not used in production. A lot of machines from this dealer are factory buy outs. The upper cylinder plate is available on eBay. I have no idea about the lower plate that is missing on the arm though. I think It may be set up with a zipper foot. I would like to set it up with a couple more feet. Is it possible to switch out the feet with out having to change the feed dogs below? They are asking $350. + shipping. Which seems like a pretty reasonable price considering the availability and what I have been able to see available else wear on pricing. This being the high lift model gives it an added bonus.

Would that be true for the serial number. Not the model number? The Serial is W1355512 which would make it from Bridgeport. The model number has a K though. It's older than all my other machines from that factory. But there are no records from that factory to confirm

Thanks. I've defantly run into that stitch length adjuster problem before. Both my post beds have damaged gears. I've wondered about replacing or repairing them. I've been told they are removable. The feet availability is a big bonus. So no idea why this is model is given the K letter rather than W? I know that the 104 has a much higher lift than some of the other models.

So I'm looking into buying a Singer 153K104. I need something to make motorcycle seats and bags with 2-7oz chrome tan. From what I can see the machine is in fairly good shape. It's missing a few of the cover plates on top and bottom of the bobbin. The feet probably need to be replaced. What's the parts availability like? The only real info I can find is on the 153W104 and other 153W models this would seem accurate. These machines came in silver apparently. Single needle, lockstitch, compound feed, horizontal cylinder, vertical axis hook, alternating pressers, mechanical opener. Four motion feed mechanism. Stitch length 7 to the inch. For closing spring filled cushions. Speed up to 2900. (04/1959)

I have three old singers that I love right now. 52W19 52W22 and a 110W124 They are all roller foot and are amazing for lightweight leather. However I'm starting to make motorcycle saddle bags and working with heavier leather and need something that can clamp and sew two or three layers of 6-7 hide and not skip a beat. My current post beds work ok but I'm worried about wearing them out putting all this wear on them with #138 thread and thick hides. I'm very partial to old Singers but I'm open to other suggestions. I'd say my max budget is $500 right now.

I'm doing everything with a knife right now and I'm looking for a way to save my wrists while i'm young and have them still.. Carson.

I'm seriously debating getting a leather splitter. I cut almost all my work on a laser now. Which is great but I can't skive my hides by hand before I put them in. I would like to get maybe an 8" splitter so I can split all my pre cut pieces down to size. I typically use 2-3 ounce upholstery hide and pull up. My seat blanks are typically about a square foot and I also run long 6ft long strips for bar tape. I'm wondering what peoples opinions are. Do splitters only work well on veg tan or really stiff leather? Or if my blade is razor will it work? opinions on what to look for also would be helpful. Carson.

I want to make my own leather finishing product for my products. Does anyone have any experience in creating any?

I think these are out as I need them in Nickel or stainless. My next option is a Binder Posts or chicago screw with a tapered or flush head any ideas on those?

Hi. I'm trying to find out the type and a source for flush rivets that look like the pictured. by Draught dry goods. He uses them on lots of his bags and even eye glass cases. Anyone have any suggestions on these? Are they countersunk rivets? I like the milled finish on them as well.

I'm in need of a 3rd Motor. I recently acquired a 1/16th Gauge 52W22 Singer Post bed. Wonderful machine. Got it in 95% working order for a great price. I have a 3/16" 52W19 and a 124W110 That Both are on SEWPRO 500GR. I love this motor but they are a lot of money. I'm thinking of getting the FS-550S as a replacement for the 52W19 Since Super low speeds are not as necessary on that machine. And moving the 500GR to the new one. What are peoples experiences with this motor? I ordered one and It came broken but I've heard decent things about it. Carson.

Thanks for your feed back. I bought another SewPRo 500GR but now I need a third motor. super slow Speed is less important on this set up. I might try the family sew. Bob might still have a few 500GR left but they cost nearly 200 bucks.

I would be interested in purchasing this machine from you. I have a 52w19 with 3/16 spacing and I want one that is narrower too like yours. Carson.
