Thank you guys very much! Other than the original manual I couldn't find any information so this made my day! Uwe, according to the manual, it calls for 7x5 for leather, but i couldn't find any information on them so I came to the experts.

Gary, thanks for the info! I'll take a look at that website -
Had this saddle brought to me. Looks like a McClellan but has no ID or makers mark o n it. The only markings are the initials W.J.M. on the tree.

Take a look at sailright. They have a vinyl that is, I gues the word is stetchy.... Is really easy to work with and form to the seat.

I have a saddle of the same style, made back in the 30's. Are you going to use it or is it for decoration?

Hello Elay77, I use resolene cut 50/50 with water. Then I use neutral boot wax over it. I've only made 15 solo seats so my experience is limited, but I haven't had any complaints yet... fingers crossed For the natural worn look I use 0000 steel wool. Again limited exerience but thats the best medium I have found to distress leather. Hope that helps

I cant believe no one has posted on this yet! Interesting design, very kool. How did you cut it out? The cut looks so smooth, like it was pressed out. -
Nicely Done. Really like your color transitions

I finally took the plunge last Sunday and ordered a Cobra Class 4P online. Spoke to them last Monday and it is supposed to ship this week! Have scoured the internet and youtube and watched all the videos of this machine and now I can't wait to get to work with it!

I bought this swivel knife on ebay a couple of months ago; it has no markings on it that would reveal the maker. Is really smooth and has become my favorite to use but I would really like to know who made it.
