Finally got some time! Went to sewing store, didn't get motor. The one in store has " electronic servo motor " tag, owner said it is family brand. When I try it, is different than mines. speed at 0, motor doesn't run ( mines runs ), at 350, little bit noisy, at 660, little bit more noisy, so higher speed gets nosier ( not that loud as my clutch motor, but still get little noise ). Back home, tried servo motor on my pfaff, put at speed 0, sew so slow, at 350, no noise at all, at 660, no noise at all, at 3450 no noise at all, quiet! Yours runs at speed 0? DrmCa. -

Thanks DrmCa! yes, I took a look at both motors, and saw difference as what you said. so need to figure out how to put servo on adler table when get it. -
Thank you vericone! I have done that yesterday, still gets 4mm at reverse max.
-
373 is 5mm. I have question, my reverse stitch - when max forward stitch is 5/6mm, reverse stitch only 4mm. when forward stitch is 4mm, reverse stitch is still 4mm which is good that two threads matches. forward stitch 3mm, reverse stitch is 3mm too. how it lost 1mm at reverse max stitch? anyone knows how to fix? I checked the leather that I used when I testing this machine from ex-owner, is also 1mm shorter, so I don't think is because I unscrew the nut little bit on top. Thank you guys!

Adler 69 - Clearance Bewteen Presser Foot And Throat Plate

just lift knee level harder, then foot went up to 12mm, but got stuck and foot won't go down, need to use handwheel then goes down. maybe should loose certain screw? I sanded needle bar and oiled machine, needle bar didn't look smooth, thought maybe that's why . now it goes up to 12mm but stucks. -
trying to know more about this machine makes me feel like studying in school again. my adler is 69-373, just read its manual and emailed with yojo who owns this machine in the forum, then noticed the clearance can be 12mm, but mines is around 7mm when lift foot up through knee level and lifting level. I read its manual page 14 and 15, wondering how should I adjust. I don't want to touch it until I'm sure how to do, otherwise will be disaster ( since english is not my native language ). So how to adjust to get 12mm clearance? here is the manual https://www.duerkopp-adler.com/export/sites/duerkoppadler/commons/download/public/69/s_69_gb.pdf

Hockeymender & DrmCa, I will get the same servo motor then. Actually the clutch motor on this adler is not bad, can sew so slow, just too loud. Will get a servo motor this weekend, put it on table, measure, then get a new vbelt. why can't attach photos ..... DrmCa, where my motor on adler is looks same as your motor on pfaff. -

Does anyone who owns an Alder 69 373 machine here? Wanna know more about this machine. ( Thanks Wiz again for your help! ) Is it same as pfaff 335? can easily sew #138 thread? what needle it uses, I searched and it should be use 134-35 needle. If change motor to servo, how much is it? how thick of leather can this machine sew? 3/8' of an inch? ... Any help would be appreciate to hear! Thanks leatherworkers!

Thank you Wiz!!! Appreciate always for your help! I just find out what is needle feed, think I would like to have a cylinder walking foot machine. Have been looking for one that costs around 1000 at most 1500 bucks and can sew up to #207 nylon thread.
