It was a labor of love, I'll tell you that - mostly because I said to myself "Self, I'd love to make one of those!" I made the one in the photo in 1998 and displaed them at various shows until one day in Illinois a fellow came in the tent and said "I want THAT!" Didn't ask the price and didn't care. He was decorating his office in Old West decor and said it was the perfect item to have. The patterns which were made on beer carton and cereal box sat in a box with many others until I decided to put it on paper and get it where it would the most good - in the hand of folks like you! It's just one of many unpublished patterns that I intend to post here for download. So keep an eye out folks, there's more where these came from! Enjoy! Jim

Here is a gift for all y'all! This is a pattern set for Pommel Bags from the mid 1800"s I made some time back. For anyone who has a copy of Packing Iron, you may recognize these cuz that is what inspired the pattern. Remember: when you have these printed tell them to set the Page Scaling to NONE! Enjoy and show off them pictures! Jim Pommel Bag Instructions.pdf Pommel Bag Patterns.pdf Pommel Bag Carving Patterns.pdf

Pommel Holster Pattern
Brazos Jack replied to Jim's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
You ever had an itch that you just had to scratch? Well, I finally got me a extra long "itch-gitter-atter" and revised the Pommel Holster Paterns to make them (hopefully) a little more compatible for modern saddle horns. The instructions are the same, only the sling has changed. Give it a look see and tell me what y'all think. Jim Revised Pommel Holster Patterns.pdf -
I have had these sitting on the shelf for too dang long! It's about time to get these in the hands of fine Crafters to have some fun with. And here are some photos to go along with the patterns. Enjoy! Jim Cowboy Cuff Patterns.pdf

Try these out. I made them a few years ago and have been wanting some public opinion. They are made so the concho hides the spur button and look pretty darn fancy. Jim Spur Straps.pdf

Well gosh folks, I am as happy as puppy with a new flea collar that y'all love that pattern. It's a dandy for you Civil War and early Cavalry Re-enanctors. The pattern used to be available at Hide Crafters up till they went out of business and was the patterns were taken over by Silver Creek. But, after not hearing from them for a few years I looked around online and found that Double K was handling my pattern sets. After a long talk with thier owner, (nice fellow) I found out that Silver Creek took a powder on me. Sooooooo, being as I still retain the copyright on these, if y'all can't find something, feel free to get with me. We'll get it done. Missed you guys, sorry I been away so long. The oil field has had me a wee bit busy but things are getting better. Jim
