  1. hi matt I think its a cross bred lol would Seiko make the cw 7 or 8 with a synchronized binder for elize ,if there anyway I can change this to be just a normal sewing machine,the feed dogs travel back and forth with the middle foot while the outside one just goes up and down ,there are two screws in the binding plate that one puts different size binders on what would be the best way get them out and can one get just a normal bobbin plate ,but then what about the synchronized part that sits under the binder plate ,any help I will be grateful for ,enclosed some photos

  4. hi darren,i haven't been able to find a industrial foot for this machine
  5. i enclose a photo i started of with the foot facing left and did a small square ,i noticed when the foot was facing right the stitches are slightly wonky and when the foot is turned right around it does tiny tiny stitches,instead of enjoying what many call a wonderful sewing machine to own i am just hating it
  6. i bought a 29k13 a while back it seems to always has issues ,i took the head of and noticed the cam roller was squared of in two area's so found some on ebay and i have bought some brass shim and will shim some parts of it using a guide from someone who has refurbished one that way with detailed instructions of how to,when i got the machine the bottom arm was off i managed to put it back together has been stitching ok thou it is around 8 stitches to an inch, i haven't used it much as needs work but yesterday i tried it out after getting a new foot offline and when i turn the bell crank around so the foot is facing backward it is doing really tiny stitches but yet is fine at a slight angle and side was ect,what would be causing this issue,in the past the stitches have been the same where ever i turn the foot
  7. great one i finally got the bobbin basket out,there was a big ball of cotton all fluffed up and hard,i gave the whole area a good clean put it all back together and bingo sewing really well,amazing something so small can cause a big problem ,thank you for your help
  8. its 3.40 am in new zealand only slept for an hour and now been trying to get this bobbin basket out ,i removed three tiny screws and removed the wee pin and took of the bobbin holder and have been wiggling it for 10 minutes and it seems it doesn't want to lift out,the plate that goes over the feed dogs the gap that fits the nose of the hook looks ok,i will try and wiggle the bobbin basket again it i cant get it out then i will try and remove the hook,been using a Manuel for a consew 255 and singer 111 as near the same from what gather reading some of the threads on here
  9. hello i have a seiko lsw-8bl ,only got it a couple of weeks ago,was sewing yesterday was going fine and them boom huge birds nest underneath,took of top plate and feed dog plate ,cleaned around everything ,while cleaning i noticed that the case that the bobbin sits you can move around freely if holding the fly reel, i put the plates ect back on ,put in bobbin and tried again,the top thread is just getting rapped around the hook and bobbin thread is to ,took photo showing the thread that is getting caught around the hook between where the bobbin casing is,when the needle is around the hook area feel a stiffness with the fly wheel,machine is well oiled,
  10. what would an adler 4-4 be worth in good working condition,it has heaps of spare parts and maybe couple hundred needles to go with it
  11. my 42-4 with the roller wheel sewed 8 layers of webbing ,she has a lot of grunt
  12. have you tried hand cranking it without the motor on to see if it still happening

Hi bought this machine this week have got it up and running,i think it could a lsw-8bl but not sure,i would like to use a right hand binder on it and be able to bind inside circles ect,will i have to change the feed dogs and sewing foot and also have part of the top plate changed to attach a binder or is there attachments that i can get for the machine to put a binder on,all help greatly appreciated
  14. i just had it stitching took me a minute to work out the bobbin and five minutes playing around with the tension its stitching perfect,i just used a needle from my singer 29k13 ,i am very pleased with my 150 nz dollar investment ,can you get a foot to ft on these machines as well??
  15. i just scored a 42-4 very cheap,its been sitting for donkey years ,the table is a bit rotten,the machine itself seems to work mechanically,this one has a roller foot on it and the treadle has two belt sizes ,i got the table outside will and will sweep a wood planer over it to see it can be refurnished if not i will take the top of and take it in to local furniture joinery shop and get them to make me one ,i only have one bobbin for it and who knows if i can score another ,there isnt a lot of info on this machine on the internet apart from here ,any advise for this machine i will be grateful for it
  16. i like working with webbing was 4 hours print work just doing the printing on the bridle used polyester webbing one inch wide 3 thousand kg braking strain doubled
