Hands sewn rucksack out of Embossed Horween Brandy Dublin. I'm bad at documenting but i did take a few photos along the way. The customer had very specific request like the handle on the side and the pocket on the lower back for concealed carry. Was my first crack at a rucksack and lots of fun to make. http://imgur.com/a/bEZDR http://imgur.com/a/5WMEI

Minimalist Card Wallet
krominix replied to TCon's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Looks good, practice practice practice. Always try to make your next piece better than your last. Bring the stitch line closer to the edge. Its way too far from it. A good general rule of thumb is to make the stitch line the same distance as the thickness of the leather. So if the leather is 4mm thick mark your stitch line 4mm from the edge. -

Not the magnet kind, the kind that gets sewn into the middle of the wallet with a little bar. I know Ohio travel bag and many other places sell them. The problem isn't finding them. I'm looking for any positive reviews/experiences you guys have had with a particular vendor. I've read that the ones that use springs can give over time with the cheaper ones. I've also seen the fixed bars that don't use a spring and work on tension. Any advice, recommendations, pros/cons are welcome. Thanks guys!

I think its an ugly tool tbh hahaha but it works great so who cares. I cant comment on the steel as i dont really know too much but its definitely way harder steel than my goods japan and tandy irons an i haven't broken a tooth on either of those ever. Im pretty easy going on the tools.

I paid $95 total with shipping. It is sewn by hand with a traditional saddle stitch. Thanks for the compliment!

I recieved tools from cmdachong. I'm very impressed. Every tooth is polished to perfection. It comes right out when pricking. Dare I say it makes my $280 Blanchards look like CS Osborne Irons. Here is a photo sorry for the bad lighting. I paid $80 for a 2+7 tooth 9SPI Iron. Great deal. I will never use a blanchard iron again. 9SPI with 632 Lin Cable

Tote Bag

Thanks for the kind words all! Monica, I thought about it too but I just liked the clean look with minimal hardware. Do you think a longer line of stitching will make it stronger? I do want it to last. -
I sent them an email 4 months ago. They responded to me on Sunday.... its a shame too cause i ended up buying some irons from another maker. Here is the email they sent me: Hi, Thank you for your interest in our irons. We have the following size now. 2.7mm (#10) 3.0mm (#9) 3.38mm (#8) And there are 2,5,8,12teeth available currently. The price will be: 2 teeth =(34USD) 5 teeth =(78USD) 8 teeth =(126USD) 12 teeth =(160USD) We use Paypal to do the payment worldwide. It will take around 3-4.5 weeks for the production. Shipping to US/UK will take 34USD for example. Our carrier is EMS. If you are interested in our iron, please state your order, address & telephone for cost calculation. Please do not hesitate to ask me if there is any question. Many thanks! Best regards, Atelier Amy Roke
