  4. Hello All. I have just bought myself a tippmann boss leather sewing machine for making belts, knife sheaths and holsters. I have been reading some of the threads about black threads not working very well with the machine, why is this and where is the best place for buying a good black thread that works. Also I want a thick thread that looks good, what are the best thread and needle combination. Machine yet to arrive but looking forward to working with it. Also any advice to a new tippmann boss user would be appreciated. Regards Forester.

  13. Hi All I have just bought a Singer 29k15 sewing machine for hopefully doing belts and other small items. I have got it sewing but it keeps missing stitches, this is only on test pieces. I don't want to use it on the good stuff yet, not until I know it is 100% reliable. If anybody could help and does anybody know where I can download a users manual for this machine, it would be very much appreciated. Regards Forester
  14. Thanks for your reply Jeff, I do all of my sewing by hand at the moment but I have just bought a Singer 29k15, trying to get it up and running, to help with belts and some other items. Regards Forester
  15. Just another question, do you hand sew all of your holsters.
  16. Do you sell many of these type holsters. I have sold one of your Avenger style holster's, I think maybe to a collector, theatre or such like, because we are not allowed to carry guns in the UK. Which is a bit frustrating because I was in the British Infantry for 23 years and I feel undressed without a weapon. Regards Forester
  17. Hi Jeff. Is the reason it is boned down at the back for retention, because when worn it will not be seen. Regards Forester
  18. Hi All. Thought I would try a non western holster, so I made a 1911 holster from a JLS pattern, thank you Jeff. It is still drying at the moment, will post more pics when it is finished. Regards Forester
  19. Hi All Well I have just bought myself a Singer 29K15, I still intend to hand stitch the holster's that I make, but I want to use the singer for lined belts and dog collars. Does anybody know which combination of needle's and thread's that I should use. Regards Forester
