  11. Hi Josh. I learned from Will Ghormley's web sight, If you look at the making of the Hand of God rig, he has some good pictures of how to sew in a toe plug, they must be good pictures because I have only ever sewn in 6 toe plugs. Regards Forester
  12. Hi Josh. Thanks for that, I am also a woodworker and after I have made my project and I am happy with it, it's time to apply the finish, many a project was ruined by the finish not looking right, and its the same with my leather work, I am really careful on what finish I put on. I have still to find the right finish for me, I want my holsters to have a nice sheen but still don't know what to use. What is mop and glo? Regards Forester
  13. Hi, in the intro I put 'the belt is only for display'. Regards Forester
  14. Real nice, what finish do you have on it. Forester
  15. I only do leatherwork as a hobby, weekends and nights after work. But I would like to make a living from it, its just a case of getting better a what I do to get my name out there. Same as anybody you have to start some where. I sell a lot of small items on ebay, such as sheaths for multi tools, not had any bad comments yet. But I really like making holsters and gun belts (Western rigs). I think if I lived in the USA I would be selling more rigs, but hey that's life. And thanks for the nice comments again. Regards Forester
  16. Every thing I make is hand stitched, thanks for the nice comments. Regards Forester

  21. Two Cheyenne holsters, one right hand straight draw the other right hand cross draw (30 Deg). Cartridge belt to follow. More pictures.
  22. Hi Plinkercases. Yes it is the carving pattern from the front of the book Packing Iron, the pattern is also from Will Ghormley's Cheyenne Holster pattern pack. The leather I used is 9-10oz Double shoulder oakleaf from tandy. It was carved and then oiled with extra virgin olive oil. and I think I need to do some more work on my burnishing, this said I always give the leatherwork I sell a final burnish before I send out to customers, not had a complaint yet. I am learning and getting better with each project, I always seem to mess up on the crease lines on the edges though, not perfect but all hand made and unique, this must count for something. Regards Forester
