  7. I thought maybe you were dead! How the heck are you?

  8. Glad to hear someone from The Howe clan speak up! This sounds like a lot of bull, Mark has a made a living with these trees, and does a good job at it. Know plenty of people who use and swear by them. Too many uninformed people out there and a lot on this website with nothing to do but try and know it all!!
  9. They used to be listed in the back of Western Horseman, but I don't know anymore. They both moight have passed!
  10. You can not, I repeat NOT. get Neatsfoot oil to shine. I don't know how many times I hear this again and again. Glycerin saddle soap can be buffed , but places like Mccall and Courts use Fiebings Bag Coat to give the saddles a shine. Yes you can use Saddle Lac or neat -Lac type of products, but they do seal the pores of the leather, but they shine!
  11. I have Jockey saddle trees and can get them. I build jockey saddles. Learned from Garland. I wholesale saddles across the country. Are you looking for Poly, Aluminium or fiber glass? Fiberglass are hard to find so might want to build your own. Poly and Aluminium are easy to get. My saddle pictures are on my Face Book page under Second Creek Saddlery.
  12. No race saddles use 1"! They use 3/4 on 3lb. and 4-pockets. I need 5/8 for small saddles. Most Match Racers use them. Thanks, but I have tried Weaver.
  13. I need to find a source for 5/8" English stirrup Buckles to make stirrup leathers for Jockey saddles. Any Ideas?
  14. I'm pretty sure they used neoprene at one time. I think some still do. You could buy sheets at a shoe finding company like Southwest leather, or Montana leather

  18. I would dispute that! That may be some of the modern day factory saddles, but I don't think that was true for Hereford.
