  1. Thank you for the kind words. Hopefully my next set is even better.
  2. Front strap is Chicago screw, the buckle side is rivets.
  3. 1st set of chinks using cow camp saddlery dvd; I finished them up a while back but things have been pretty busy. Any advice for improvement is welcome. I want to keep improving.
  4. It wasn’t too bad. Basically a couple days is all. Tooled in the morning, dyed in the evening, Dried overnight, burnished and laced up with rawhide the next day. Thanks for the compliment! Thank you!
  5. Thanks again so much for all the compliments! I haven’t been doing leathercraft all that long so I feel extremely flattered!
  6. Thank you for all the nice comments! I drew and designed everything myself.
  7. I would get one at that price as well!
  8. Here’s a belt I designed and tooled. I really like how this turned out, especially since I had a learning curve tooling sunflowers.
  9. There really are. It amazes me how some people on here are able to make things so 3-dimensional and lifelike. Thank you for the compliments!
  10. Thank you, for all the wonderful comments; I greatly appreciate it. I still feel in awe of so many other’s work on here that I just hope that I can get to be 1/2 as good.
  11. First hired job and first belt. She wanted floral with butterflies and a splash of blue on the butterflies. Any critique is welcome, as I’m still fairly new.
  12. Thank you. I used 9 oz veg tan and fiebings dye and finished with resolene.
  13. Thank you! He always perks up when I’m hammering away hoping that I am building something for him.
  14. Well, I haven’t been on in a while. I made my husband this gun scabbard for Valentine’s Day. I thought it turned out well for my 1st one. Any critique would still be appreciated. I still have to get the rigging done.
  15. I did use my pear shader. Maybe I need to be a little heavier handed, though? I’m always nervous that I am doing too much. Also I was able to find some hardwood dowels, so they will be a bit nicer, now.
  16. No honestly, I really appreciate it. Boise is about 2 hrs away. I’ll definitely see if I can find someone and I will look into the link and go with my best option. This is fantastic!
  17. Unfortunately, I have no idea... I am not sure if there are any around, as the only lumber mill around here that I know about burned in the summer from a wildfire. I’ll have to ponder this and see if I can figure something out.
  18. I made these for all of my sisters-in-law for Christmas and think they turned out well. I’ve been contemplating the idea of selling some on Etsy to earn a little income, since I’m a stay at home mom. If anyone has any advice on selling or making your own business, I would greatly appreciate it.
  19. Made my first tooled flask. My husband requested one for his brother for a Christmas gift. I messed up in 1 spot on it but it still turned out ok. Any critique is appreciated.
