  1. I'm in the same predicament and I think ice decided I the artisan 335b. Check it out
  2. I am almost done debating which model to purchase so sorry If Im annoying anyone out there. I am going to start with a medium duty machine and plan on a Heavier duty like the CB 3200 or 4500. that being said, which of the 3 models I listed in topic title rate best in others opinion/ experience. The CB 227 is a cylinder bed i know, but in this decision I am not considering that because I will acquire my heavy duty machine with cylinder bed later. i am more looking at these three models functions and capabilities as compared to each other. the artisan and consew have a safety clutch and bobbin winders i believe, and also seem to have a higher foot lift but Just trying to narrow down between these 3 machines so any help would be awesome thank you Steve
  3. How about the Cb227R Medium Weight Sewing Machine Cylind... A company rep suggested this, how does this machine weigh in
  4. I wanted the 3200 but realize it would be too much for thin or soft leather and fabric. I'm curious if this is a good machine for more delicate leather. I was then going to get two machines but almost seems like this is the well rounded walking machine I was looking for in the first place I want to know its limits on both ends. If this can sew without forcing its limits two layers of 8/9 oz veg tan as well as two 1 oz layers or thinner then I'm interested in video evidence please
  5. Anybody have any experience or knowledge about this machine?
  6. does anyone have any compaints about the blue guns
  7. What about even thinner leather like two 1 oz pieces or reall soft leather? Also any complaints about presser feet leaving marks on any type of leather does that happen often ?
  8. What about presser feet leaving marks, do people stick with smooth feet I feel veg tan could be ruined potentially
  9. Pcox, funny u mention that I have those two specific models written down as potential candidates
  10. Ok Yes i have samples to test. This question is totally Blind there may be a thread already but what are pros and cons of cylinder bed vs post bed Ok Yes i have samples to test. This question is totally Blind there may be a thread already but what are pros and cons of cylinder bed vs post bed
  11. Ok thank you both, this seems to be the consenses
  12. Thank you, thats my struggle I wish there was one that did all but have come to realize I will probably need 2 Thank you, thats my struggle I wish there was one that did all but have come to realize I will probably need 2
  13. After researching quite a bit I am still Very undecided on what model machine I should choose. I have a variety of leather from 8/9 oz veg tan to 1 oz lining leather. I would like to use the machine for belts, wallets , holsters, vests, chaps, bags, upholstery etc so my projects vary. I was leaning towards a heavy duty such as the cobra class 4 but fear it's too heavy duty for thinner leathers and other fabric. Any opinions on whether I should choose a heavy duty like the cobra, or should I choose a med duty style. Keeping in mind I would like to see two layers of 8/9 oz veg tan and also desire the ability to sew reverse, edges of wet molded holsters so need to be able to sew in close quarters And want a servo motor
