I read through pretty much everything and unless I just totally missed it (possible) there wasn't anything about resizing the pattern. After I realized it wasn't right I increased it by 200% and it was fine, just wish it would've said that maybe in the special instructions section for the project.

Okay, I stitched together my first project today (Zippo case from bighousedaddy.com pattern). I realize that I'm going to need to better supplies than an awl and more-or-less regular sewing needle if I'm going to do this comfortably and some what efficiently. So I am looking for suggestions as to the basic or a little more needed. I've yet to do any lacing but want to try that. Thanks in advance for the replies. God Bless, Greg

Thanks for the warm welcome. I appreciate it. I plan on scouring the forum as absorbing as much as possible. I think my next order will include that manual from Tandy. I've only made a few small items thus far; couple of oval shaped hair barrettes, a Zippo case (almost done) and a key fob. I feel more comfortable with each little step. Eventually I think I'd like to make myself a holster or two, belts and maybe some biker gear. Gee, I reckon I want to try it all! LOL I'm down in Cabell County, by the way, along the Ohio River.

After reading through this thread I decided to purchase the 30-pack. My only complaint this far is that the templates (that I printed so far) were not already to scale. I wish there had been info about that in the e-book segment that they needed to be sized before printing.
