  1. Hey that's looking good! Makes me want to practice my stitching, I get mixed up with the different tutorials on Youtube.
  2. Pretty sure its oil tanned. I haven't really messed with oil tanned either, so I'm feeling stumped. I have some Bickmore Bick 4 Leather cleaner and conditioner and tested a piece with it. The leather felt weird after using it, so I won't be using that! I could call Tandy up tomorrow.
  3. I'm new to leather working, so I need some help. I bought a Kodiak leather side from Tandy Leather Factory and I'm unsure what to use to clean it. I'm making notebook covers and the leather feels like it needs a wipe down at least. Is Fiebings 4 way care okay for this leather? Any recommendations?
  4. When I first thought I wanted to make one myself I came across this blog, it has a pattern to make one. Hope it helps! ====>>> The Crafty Couple Blog
  5. Hello! This is my very first post on leatherworker.net! I'm a beginner with leather working, and I'm finding it to be such a fun craft. My first project was a coin purse, using scrap leather I got from a big box craft store. My second projects were the two wallets shown in the pictures. The top was actually a crazy horse leather interior and wallet back from Springfield Leather. The instructions that came with it involved lacing, but I saddle stitched it instead. The bottom wallet shown was made with some 2-3oz veg tan leather. I purchased that pattern from LeodisLeather from Etsy. Not bad I think! For my next project I'm itching to make a nice bag for myself.
