I'm a newbie to the hobby also and just stopped by my local granite counter top place and got a 1'x1' 1" thick slab of granite and a 1.5'x2' slab of granite free also, make sure to check them out.

OK, so I'm brand new to tooling leather. After a year of talking about it I finally took a class at Tandy Leather and will be putting a solo seat together for my motorcycle. My question is I'd like to find a tutorial on lacing the seat top leather to the seat bottom along the edge. I'm sure this is a pretty basic thing but would like to read something before I attempt it. Any links or books that you could point me to help me out?
