    Just new to leather working so I thought a belt would be a starting place . Bought a 8-10 oz blank and put a 1.5-2 oz liner on it . Measured it against cheap store bought belt and cut . Finished it up and it looked great ! Only problem is that it is approx. 4-5 inches to short . WHAT HAPPENED ?

    Trying to find a supplier that sells pigskin lining hides that aren't suede . I believe it is called glazed . Looking for a russet color in a full hide . Have been trying through Weaver but haven't had much luck with their shipping and not receiving a hide that is so wrinkled that it looks like a waffle . Thanks

    Want to make a bridle leather collar for my dogs and need help with what leather to line them with . These are hunting dogs so the lining needs to be able to stand up to moisture and what ever else they decide to roll in . I have seen where deer skin or sheep hide has been used what type of finish is used to protect it ?

    I assume you glue the liner to the strap then stitch . Do you put any sort of finish /sealer on the liner ?

    Ok will try to ask again . For a waist measurement of 38 inches how long will the main strap be before you add billets ? Yes it would be easy if they already owned a ranger but they don't.

    Newbie to all this so am in need of basic info. Have searched and searched but cannot find anything regarding how to measure for a ranger belt. Have seen how to fit a reg. belt but nothing on how much to add for the extra on a ranger. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
