After doing one hoop, decided it does make nice wall art. So I did another as a gift my brother the fisherman.

I finally finished, used 1/4 " rawhide 21" willow hoop. The leather is 9-10%. I did add alot more detail to carving, dragon, man, treasure chest and hundreds of coins. Thanks everyone who offered their suggestins

Its sometimes funny when I finish a project, can be really happy with my work. Then as time passes, I start picking the work apart. Does this happen to others?

Yeah, here in California we grow cement and asphalt. I looked nothing suitable for me around here

I did order a hoop from Riverine Traders, in Wisconsin. Mike @ Susan will be made from Willow $30-$35 price, so looking forward to finish. Chuck 123 thanks
