Hi folks.
I'm really having trouble finding the staple leather for my products that I want to use. I've played around with a lot of different leathers. My business essentially is all custom stuff which means I have a TON of leftover stuff. Pieces of shell, pieces of pueblo and buttero, Kangaroo, etc. Various other kinds.
With that being said, I haven't purchased a ton of leather that maybe others would. Like Harness leather. Never had a side of it. Bridle leather, occasionally. I want to build a more consistent product line, but I'm really having trouble finding a leather that is of right temper for bags and wallets. I would like to move away from hand-sewing and more towards using a machine.
I tried Luxe-Strap from https://aleatherd.com/ - I'm finding its too soft possibly for veg tan and sewing on a machine.
I tried the Bridle leather from https://aleatherd.com/ as well, I'm finding in bags the bridle looks wrinkled as the bridle leather gets turned inside out (after sewing on a sewing machine).

Any recommendations for leather that work well for both bags and wallets? PS: I have a leather splitter (cobra 14) being delivered tuesday.
