  5. rofl... I mean, I'm sure it's all well and good to practice these things - Man, I remember when I was a kid, the earthquake drills at school.. and how on the first week, we had to bring a baggie full of non-perishable food, a flashlight, and batteries to go in out classrooms... just in case we were trapped, or, if the floor caved in, they'd fall with us. (yeah. real handy!) This seems a bit silly, to be honest.. what is the goal of this exercise? Should such a huge earthquake occur, I've never been able to figure out what good it would do. =\
  6. Huzzah! Thanks for the heads-up!

  11. Yeah? How do they work? See, right now, I'm using EcoFlo from Tandy... while they're okay they definitely are not the greatest. I'd love to replace them, just want to pick a good brand or what have you
  12. Thank you! And of course! My soul would wither and die without it.
  13. Thanks, looks nice, btw... how does it work as a wash?
  14. Hey there! I've been chatting with a few leather mask-makers on the deviantart site, and one of them recommended Jaquard Lumiere fabric paints for use on leather. Has anyone else here used them before I got investing in new paints? I tend to use more washes, only black and white get used straight by me, usually, if that helps. Thankies! ♥
  15. Wow, welcome back. lw.net! :-D I've been away far too long... here's to hoping that I can stay current this time. As always, I welcome your input!! Let's see... for Christmas, I picked up at my local-ish Tandy a Passport kit that was fairly inexpensive so I could practice and play with it. Who knows, maybe I'll drive down to Mexico one day again lol. Here's how it turned out: Uploaded with ImageShack.us I also picked up a checkbook kit! Uploaded with ImageShack.us Also been working on finishing a leather-wrapped jar by, well, October. I'm terrified to touch it, that I'll screw it up. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Hope you like... sorry for not being on, I can't wait to see what everyone else has been up to, too!! ~Katie
  16. I think it looks great, and I bet she is thrilled by it. How did you get the lines? A small brush, a pen, or did you carve those little lines and let the color pool in them?
  17. Thank you very much!!! ^_^.

  19. Yes it was my first attempt lol. Thank you!! Yes, I have a bad habit of chewing on a knuckle when I'm thinking... I must tell you, gloves would have been an EXCELLENT idea!!!!
