  1. SOLD ! That worked well ! Thanks.
  2. Hi folks, I have the following for sale. https://www.ebay.com/itm/265347237582 Drop a line if interested, thanks.
  3. With no further info provided, I'm not quite comfortable changing that slide setting, so I set the fwd length a bit longer than the rev length. Doing good for now but will maybe experiment with it later when these awnings/canopies are done. Thanks.
  4. Hey Constabulary, do you have a more complete manual for this 211G166 machine ? My manual only has basic adjustments and makes no mention of the setting in the previous post. Thanks if you will help.
  5. I found this to be true and adjusted as best I can. I now have 5.5 TPI precisely in both directions, thanks. Now according to the attached illustration, would lengthening the radius adjustment at the circled t-slot bearing increase the stitch length in both fwd and rev ? If so, would any other adjustments be necessary to maintain timing of the related components / mechanisms ? At a glance, it looks like this would increase the MAX stroke of the feed dog. Just wondering, Thanks again.
  6. Here is an interesting old Singer machine. For all to enjoy. I've never seen this model before, Cheers https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/233862075251190/?ref=search&referral_code=marketplace_search&referral_story_type=post
  7. IIRC, the reversing length is identical, or very nearly so to the fwd. length. Will verify when I get back to the shop on Thursday. Can this machine be modified to stitch 4 per inch ? (fairly easily) Thanks !
  8. Hi folks. My 211G166 has been working flawlessly. The service manual says max stitch length is 5 per inch but the longest stitch I can get is 7 > 7-1/2 per inch. How do I go about getting it to 5, and is it possible to tweak it to an even longer stitch ? I'll be doing some larger canvas parts and need to get the longest stitch possible to minimize puckering over the long runs. Thanks,
  9. Nice machine ! Those (Gast ? ) air motors tend to be a bit of an air hog, can be rough on a small compressor. BTW, what is that coupe in the background ? Cheers,
  10. Thanks for posting that ! Very interesting indeed. I LOVE the mechanics demonstrated from so long ago. They likely used sticks, pins and "trial and error" to design with, more so than math and computers. Amazing ! Thanks again,
  11. This is one I made that worked beautifully in a 2" fork. When precisely fitted, there is no backlash so it runs silently and quite fast ... as in a sewing machine. Lube is critical as well as the heat treatment of the mating surfaces.
  12. That is known as a Reuleaux Triangle. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reuleaux_triangle I made some of these with a CNC mill while experimenting. Cheers.
  13. I have a Singer 7-33 that I am parting out .... or selling "as is, missing parts". Might be able to take out what you are wanting. Most reasonable offers likely accepted. Cheers

  17. Hi folks. Seeing little interest in my 2 current offerings for sale, I'd like to post a "bundle" for sale. I am not a cobbler, but will answer any questions that I can. Look through the pics and respond if interested. The little Cinderella nailer works really neat. There is a small 2x4 pine block that I was testing it on. Looks like you can adjust for the length of nail and the depth that it buries it below the surface. The cord is cracking and should be replaced. The other Soler, with the hand wheel, I know nothing about. It has reduction gearing and would make me a cool little arbor press ... if it doesn't sell. The Champion 77 and the sander are listed in other posts. I can strap all 4 on a 40"x 48" (+/-) pallet and deliver to UPS freight in Cumberland MD if the buyer pays the shipping. Or, one, any or all can be picked up here. Also entertaining offers on whatever combo you might like. As a 4 machine package $1200.00 USD picked up, or + shipping. est 800 lb but will likely vary Thanks for looking,
  18. Price reduction ..... entertaining offers. $ 400.00 plus shipping from UPS Freight depot in Cumberland, MD

  22. It is still available. I can strap it on a skid and give you the dimensions and weight so you could arrange / pay for shipping. I can deliver to the UPS Freight terminal in Cumberland, MD Here is an example shipping estimate to a business location with a dock, the actual weight and dimensions may vary slightly. I can get the actual data later today if necessary as it is currently on a skid with 3 other shoe machines. I need to strap it to its own skid .... unless of course you want the Champion also (600 lb actually ships cheaper than 300 lb .... different class ) Cheers
  23. OK, this is sort of in the way as it is. Before I seriously consider using the spindle and motor for something else, we will offer it up sale at $700. USD I can't quite see the label on the motor, would need to remove it to see. So, we will just assume the specs ... for now. If requested, and absolutely necessary, I will get to it. Cheers
