Hello all, I recently bought the EPS from leather machine co to add on to my existing class 26. The motor install went well but I’m having trouble with two things: There is a screw in the center of the hand wheel that needs to be removed so the inner part of the EPS can take its place. For the life of me I cannot get it out. Has anyone come across this? In the videos showing how to set up eps, there is a line drawn from the factory about where to match up the eps unit to the hand wheel. I don’t have this line so I’m not sure how to line it it up appropriately so the stitch finishes in the right place. Right now it doesn’t work correctly, the knot hasn’t come up all the way in the bottom so it gets stuck I’ve scoured the internet and can’t seem to find anyone else with these problems or solutions. Thank you in advance!

Hey Folks, So I am so excited to be a new owner of a Cobra class 26 but I have two problems. 1. I cant solve a problem with having one loose stitch during projects. I will adjust the tension and the knot is sitting in the middle and during a sewing run ill get one loose stitch almost every time? 2. The machine is in a terrible bind and making a squealing honking noise when sewing. The noise is still present when using the hand wheel with no thread loaded. I eliminated the thread to eliminate potential tension issue but the machine is so tight and seems to be in a bind? I've oiled heavily with some minor improvement. The problem has been so bad that the great people at Leather Sewing Machine Co. have even spent hours on the phone with me. They even had me making adjustments on the internal shaft from the wheel and inside shaft. They facetime me to watch the machine and we made some adjustments to the bottom bobbin. This seemed to have helped a tad but the machine feels to be under internal friction. David at LMC customer service was the best I've ever experienced and he talked with me on the phone and email throughout the diagnosis. He was so understanding and accommodating that he even sent me a new head this weekend; however , sadly the new head did the exact same thing???? The shipping box from UPS was pretty beaten up?? I don't know if shipping could be causing damage but both machines are under a bind somewhere. I have wanted one of these machines for years but I need anyone's help that may have experienced similar issues and fixes if possible. I'm so discouraged and exhausted I just want this beautiful machine to lay down a good stitch and not sound like squealing tank. Maybe a bad run of machines or shipping damage? Again, If you want a new sewing machine and not sure where to purchase? PURCHASE FROM LEATHER SEWING COMPANY because what they say about amazing customer service is absolutely TRUE. Hands down best service I've ever experienced and I owned a cowboy 3200 and Ryan was pretty dang great. This is mechanical issue not a personal one for sure! cobra noise video.MOV

I’m new here, I hope I’m in the right place. I have a small leather patch hat company and saw this in many videos and it seemed like a dream. Upon arrival the class 26 machine worked smoother than imagined but this machine is not for me. Due to some prior major injuries I can’t bare to sit at the machine longer than 30-45 mins. This machine might have 1-2 hours of run time and in perfect new order. *Pick up only* Upstate, SC Asking $2,100 This is $300 off retail and you save on the ridiculous $400 shipping from the manufacturer.

I broke a needle the other day which knocked the machine out of time (needle was not going into the hole on the presser foot), I spoke to Leather Machine and it was an easy fix. The problem now is that the reverse lever moves up and down while I’m sewing, when I hold it down for reverse stitching I can feel like it’s riding on the lobe of a cam, that’s just the way it feels to me. What could be causing this and what would be the fix?

Hello sewing machine guru’s! I am having trouble with my brand new Cobra class 26 machine. When I sew with the machine, the pressure foot/walking foot press the leather hard and it makes a trail on the leather. It makes a beautiful stitch but right next to it, there is a presser foot/walking foot impression. I have adjusted the “banana slide” on the back, checked both my feet for any adjustment and there is none. Right now im sewing 2 , 8-9oz pieces of Wickett and craig traditional harness in med brown and it marks it pretty darn good. I called the leather machine company and a guy told me to cut off the spring 5mm. Just doesn't sound right that I need to cut anything, especially since its brand new? Please help if anyone can with any ideas or input. Thank you!!

Hello, I've recently purchased a cobra 26. Just a couple questions... When replacing the needle the eye goes from left to right but each side is slightly different. I had it in and the needle started hitting the case and broke so it's now going in the opposite. Is this normal? I was told just to put in the needle so you thread laft to right. Second, I've een trying to dial down the tension for the lightest weight thread the machine takes 69 as I'm waiting for heavier thread in the mail. Both with the 69 and 138 I can't seem to tighten that bobbin case anymore to get rid of the loop on top. I've tried 138 in top and bottom realizing maybe 69 is just a bit too light weight. Any suggestions?
