Hello! I acquired a Juki 9010a-SS needle feed a while ago and am wondering if it’s easy to switch out the throat plate and feed dogs to the larger SH heavy duty pieces. I can’t find much info on this but am wondering if anyone else has successfully done this without replacing other parts on the machine.

I'm looking at a local Singer 111w155 and my web research says those machines came with triple feed but the guy says it has a walking foot but not a walking needle. Has anyone ever seen a 11w155 without a walking needle? Thanks in advance for your help. Chris

So far I've been unable to identify this double needle industrial machine. It says model 208 on the front. The only other markings are an apparent serial # C-680227. It's a needle feed machine, and is brown in color. There is a selector clutch on the left of the head to choose one needle vs. two. Some construction details look similar to older Adler machines. Maybe a clone of another machine? Any thoughts? I'm mostly looking for information regarding what needle class it takes, and to confirm the thread path. Thanks!

It may have been a mistake, but I bought a Singer 211U567B. It's supposed to be a needle feed machine and similar to the 211G157 that gottaknow suggested that I buy. Well, I never could get a 211G157 so I bought this instead - the dealer claims it is the same thing except newer and with a big bobbin. I am having no end of trouble with it. At the very least I need to adjust it so that it goes over thick bumps better. It veers around bumps that my Consew 206RB would take in stride (if it weren't out for repairs). The dealer offered some advice involving the button on top that resets the clutch after it has rescued the hook from disaster, but I can't see that pressing the button, turning the wheel, and feeling the button go down has changed anything. There seems to be no literature about the 211U567B other than parts lists - I have hunted all over Google looking in vain for something to download. YouTube is no help, either. Is there some other machine's manual that would be close enough? That would at least explain how to set the height of the needle bar or change the foot pressure or something?

I bought a Juki DLR-415-5 today for $50. A glove making factory in town shut down and the owner of the building was clearing stuff out. I don't know much about it yet and I was wondering if anyone here knew what thickness of leather it could handle? I also have to get a new motor because it has an industrial 3 phase one, does anyone know about that? I'm pretty new to all of this, so far I've only done hand sewing with leather- I hope this was a good buy! Thanks in advance!

Hello, I am really new to the forum, but this place has been a grt place, to help me start with a leather projects & crafts. after working for while, I decided to buy a machine and I need in terms of recommendations, feedbacks etc., in help buying cylinder arm machine. which is capable of using big thread and needle size to work with Bridle butt leather of 2 to 3 layer of 10 to 13 oz leather. I am considering of buying singer 45k89, with alternative foot. But, i read so many post and articles on this forum about foot marks left on the work piece (veg tan/bridle leathers). I looked around and I kind of made up my mind to go with adler 105-64 needle feed, which I believe can help in reducing the marks on the leather, since its a needle feed and i can grind the grooves on the feed dog! I will be delightful, if member of this forum can help me in deciding, to which cylinder arm machine to go for ? and where can I buy it from. People who are willing to sell their adler 105-45 or any cylinder arm sewing machine within uk, inbox me with price and other details? NB: I am not willing to spend too much, looking somewhere around 400£ to 500£ Any feedback or response will be very much appreciated. Thank you
