Purchased from HighTex in 2019 for knife sheath work, but not long after that I turned 80, had hand surgery, and arthritis problems put my knifemaking and blacksmithing career to an end. This machine is in excellent condition, was only occasionally used, and has been bolted to my work bench with a cover draped over it for a couple of years. It works great, and the HIGHTEX folks are extremely helpful in supporting users of it. Several large spools of top quality tan, white and black nylon thread are included, plus a batch of miscellaneous small accessories and needles. Includes the original HIGHTEX shipping carton & manuals. At 60+ pounds, shipping would be prohibitively expensive, so prefer pick up at my place near Oklahoma City, or I can meet within a reasonable driving distance. $1000 firm, CASH ONLY. Message me via the forum system to reply. Thanks.

Hi all, I am selling my Tippmann Boss on ebay. It's been only slightly used (only for about a dozen projects or so) and works very well. It's in excellent condition and comes with the accessories kit. I'm also throwing in a dual, led gooseneck light that you can see is attached with a zip tie. I paid over $1800 for everything ($1495 for Boss, $299 for accessories + taxes, s/h). Selling everything for $1600. Shipping is calculated on checkout. Only selling within the U.S. If you want to take a look you can follow this link: http://goo.gl/k2i7b8

I'm a new member in Orange, California, and would like to discuss with others who use leather sewing machines. I recently started using the CowBoy CB4500 and was initially able to sew 6 to 7 stitches per inch. Now it won't do that. Looking forward to hearing from other members near and far.

The title pretty much says it all. Looking for a deal on a Puritan 2 or 3 needle machine like the ones Redwing Shoes&Boots use.

Adler 205-RM 25 SP 75 Cylinder Arm Heavy Duty Sewing Machine I am selling this machine to make room for a Cobra Class 4, and hopefully to find someone who can use its unusual optional function. This machine has a lever on the back, actuated by a foot lever, that when engaged, causes a shirring action. This makes the top feed and the bottom feed to pull different amounts of material, making the sewing of items like pucker toe mocassins much easier. I have no need of this function, so I would like to offer the machine up for sale so someone who does need this rare function can use it. The machine also functions normally, feeding top and bottom at the sae rate whenever you wish. The shirring function is only engaged when the shirring pedal is pressed. The machine is on a stand with a clutch motor and a speed reducer. 2 packets of needles are included, system 214x1 or DDx1, size 230 2 extra Bobbins are included One extra foot is included The brazed needle plate is being replaced with a new one from the manufacturer The bobbin case cover has been ordered as well. Bobbin winder is icluded Thread stand is included The cones of thread in the photos are not included, they were on the machine only to show the stitch quality Manuals included in PDF format: Adler 205 Operating Instructions, Adler 205 Mechanic's Instructions, Adler Class 205 Leaflets Parts Diagram also included as a hard copy. This is a very heavy machine, so palletizing and shipment via freight carrier is reccomended. I can also deliver it in southern California, for a fee, which will vary depending on your distance from Lake Elsinore/Wildomar. If you are very close, I can deliver for free. Pick up is always available for free. Steve at Cobra (Leather Machine Co.) is ordering the new parts it needs and fixing this up, so you know it is being done right! Asking price is $1650 Will consider offers. Respond to this post or PM me if you are interested.

Hi everyone, I am a total newbie but an enthusiastic one I want to make leather shoes and I figured out in order to achieve this I need a leather stitching machine. I would like to make cup-soled (soft rubber) boots (or moccassins if you like) with a 4-5mm thick sole and leather upper. The sole is more like a crepe-sole but the edges curled up. Can anyone suggest the best machine for this intended purpose? I've been looking at a hand driven Frobana, its seems like an affordable and suitable candidate, but you tell me. I'm also wondering if there are other Frobana models or only one? Because in the forums I saw some with a channel cuter knife and others with only teeth. Or it is only a question of changing parts? Also a lot of people mentioned the size of the holes the needle makes. How big is it actually? And is it possible to feed the machine with anything else than waxed thread? Im thinking about wild colored artificial threads. Any help is greatly appreciated, Happy Holidays: Robin

Can anyone make any recommendations on the best way to go about having a used cylinder arm machine and stand shipped approximately 1000 miles? I am trying to buy a used one from a forum member that had posted in the classified section. He is going to crate it up, but neither of us know anything about freight shipping. I did some quick calling around today and was getting quotes like $550! I knew shipping would not be cheap, but I was expecting more like $200. Is this an unrealistic expectation? The seller is willing to take it to a shipping hub and I am willing to go to one to pick it up. I told the company I spoke with this, but still got the huge numbers. One girl on the phone acted as if the fact that it was a sewing machine put it in some higher price class. Does it really matter what's in the crate (beyond the obvious hazardous and liquid restrictions)? I filled out a quote request on uship.com and got a quote of $183 which is perfectly reasonable and it's from a reputable carrier who's depot is not far from me. However, the only shipping category available to choose that a sewing machine seemed to fit under was "Business and Industrial Goods". I don't want to rely on these numbers if when the seller takes it to a carrier and says it's a sewing machine that the price goes back to $500. Any suggestions are welcomed. I really want to make this deal work as its exactly what I've been looking for for quite a while. But I won't pay nearly half the cost of the machine to ship it.
