Which is better?

I looking to buy cheap set of punches for hand stitching and I see two types available for around the same price.

Can you guys tell me which style would be preferred?

Both appear to be 5mm which is what I'm looking for.

Both have their uses. I have both types in different spacing sizes

The black ones are better for thread sewing and the silver ones, which make round holes and take away leather, are better for lace stitching

What he said, the first ones are for hand stitching.

I use diamond punches and awls for stitching and flat punches for lacing.  Drills and hole punches leave holes that never close up, makes the stitching look like a summer camp project.  I'd like to use pricking irons but decent irons are over my budget.
