Members TomE Posted January 9, 2023 Members Report Posted January 9, 2023 Very handsome! How did you seal/burnish the flesh side of the flap? Quote

How did you seal/burnish the flesh side of the flap? Thanks much! Pretty simple, I just put dye on the flesh side, then after it dried, I brushed it with tankote, and slicked it down with a glass slicker. Would be much better to get it from the tannery already dyed and gum-pasted, but it is what I had so that's how I handled it. Quote

I buy mostly bridle leather with a moss-back but if I split it then I will seal the backside. Quote
